There’s no secret to success: hard work, dedication, and a hell of a good support system are all important ingredients in the recipe of achieving your dreams. That means that surrounding yourself with the right people is the best business choice you could make this year, so we’ve done the digging and found you five of the best Brisbane networking groups to level-up your work in 2019!

Women In Digital

Women in Digital was founded in 2014 by Holly Tattersall, a lady working in Digital Recruitment who noticed the lack of female role-models within the industry. The organisation began as a mentoring program to connect working women and support the next gen of digital leaders, and has since expanded to include a range of events, workshops and assistance for women within the industry, worldwide.

The values of Women in Digital are authenticity, collaboration, diversity, making a difference, success and, of course, fun – because life is far too short to not be enjoying both your personal and professional life! With motivational and inspiring guest speakers, an annual awards night celebrating success, and a range of services to keep you at the forefront of your digital skills and knowledge, Women in Digital is the support network you can’t miss out on.

Brisbane Women’s Club

Founded all the way back in 1908, Brisbane Women’s Club has evolved and prospered over the years. One thing has remained a constant for the organisation, and that’s their ever-clear goal: to improve the lives of Queensland women. The club has a passion of bringing together a diverse group of professional women in Brisbane and SEQ, and they succeed in exactly that through their numerous events and activities hosted throughout the year.

While the membership does cost $65 annually, it includes exclusive access to Brisbane Women’s Clubs events, programs, and annual general meetings – as well as the priceless opportunity to extend both professional and personal networks with like-minded ladies.

League Of Extraordinary Women

League of Extraordinary Women have banned the ‘n’ word – they don’t believe in traditional networking and business-card swapping. Instead, their vision is to connect on an honest and down-to-earth level, where face-to-face, real-talk is ‘where the magic happens’. The League was founded in 2011, and quickly swept across the country – with events and meetups happening in 9 cities across Australia, and even some internationally.

There are plenty of events happening in the coming months right here in Brisbane, including an entrepreneurs conference, speaker-sessions, and the social mini-mastermind meetings. To attend any of the events and meet-ups, and to receive all the love and inspiration that the extraordinary women of the working-world can offer, you can sign up for only $15 a month! We know you won’t regret it.

Women Of Influence

What began as an organisation solely for ‘Women in Finance’ back in 2005 quickly grew into an association for women of all business backgrounds, initiating the rebrand to ‘Women of Influence’by 2010. Today, the not-for-profit organisation’s sole purpose is to provide a forum for motivated business women to network, learn, and connect.

All events and seminars hosted by Women of Influence encourage a warm and professional environment, where every attendee feels a part of the growing community. There is an event each quarter in the year, three of which are at breakfast time and one is an annual high tea – because networking over cake is the only networking you need.

Business Chicks

Business Chicks is the biggest business community for women in Australia, where they understand that every woman is capable of achieving all of their dreams – but that they don’t have to do it alone. Despite the name, Business Chicks thrives on being a support network for all women regardless of their business status. And, while they are spread out all over Australia, Business Chicks has an extremely prominent place in the Brisbane scene – with numerous networking events scheduled in the city all throughout 2019 already!

So, no matter whether you’re the founder of your own show, are making waves within an office environment, or just need a further sense of connection and support in all aspects of life, Business Chicks has the tools you need to propel yourself forward.
