Dark Green By The Green

The candles are lit, the grill is ablaze, and the flavours are fabulous. What are we on about you ask? Popular James St restaurant, The Green, has launched their new Dark Green Dinner Series where the eatery stays up late every Friday and Saturday night. Offering a set menu starting from $55pp from 5.30pm, devour Middle Eastern delights. From the warm embrace of homemade Lebanese bread to the robust flavours of charcoal-roasted fish cooked to perfection, a seriously good feast awaits. It’s unknown how long the dinner series is going to last, so come on habibi, make that reservation!

Doughnut Time x Menz Violet Crumble

What time is it? Doughnut time! Brisbane-born doughnut empire, Doughnut Time is back at it again with another epic flavour and this is one we can’t resist. For a limited time only, they’re partnering up with Menz Violet Crumble – a match made in heaven. ChauChow By Zyon

Fortitude Valley’s newest culinary hotspot offers casual Asian-fusion cuisine with a twist—it’s located within a nightclub (yes, a nightclub!). Headed by chefs Jacky Chau and Ben Chow, this pop-up dining concept reimagines Chinese takeaway classics. Found one level above China Town Mall in the former home of The Palace Lounge, guests enter through Zyon’s Duncan Street entrance every Friday and Saturday between 6-10pm. Ascend the gold-accented steps to find ChauChow, a separate yet complementary addition to Zyon. Enjoy a tasty dining concept like no other and maybe even a post-dinner boogie!

Reverie Coffee House

It’s a great day because Paddington has just gained a new cafe! Reverie Coffee House, located on Kennedy Terrace in Paddington, offers Bear Bones Coffee and delicious pastries from Banette – a match made in heaven. With its light-filled ambience, welcoming vibe, and art sourced from local creatives, it’s a place where you can brunch with your bestie or settle in with your laptop. Everyone is welcome, so bring along your furry babies for a free puppycino. 

Nodo New Location

If Westfield Carindale is your local, then you’ve probably been feeling a little left out of the fun when it comes to GF donuts. Well, the day has come! A new Nodo grab-and-go location has just opened in Westfield Carindale and it’s a welcome addition to a hard day of shopping. Stop by the kiosk on level 1 (near Seed) to fuel up and indulge in a little sweet treat. Open from 9am until sold out, make sure to get in before there’s none left!

Mexicali Bar Y Taqueria Brisbane

A new sandwich joint is coming to town! Dijon, inspired by the popular sandwich shop Hector’s Deli in Melbourne, is popping up in Tarragindi soon. They’ll be serving toasties that pack a punch with housemade sauces that give any other toastie a run for their money. Keep an ear out for the crispy golden crunch – Dijon is opening May/early June.
