Popular James St restaurant, The Green, has launched their new Dark Green Dinner Series where the eatery stays up late every Friday and Saturday night. Offering a set menu starting from $55pp from 5.30pm, devour Middle Eastern delights. From the warm embrace of homemade Lebanese bread to the robust flavours of charcoal-roasted fish cooked to perfection, a seriously good feast awaits. It’s unknown how long the dinner series is going to last, so come on habibi, make that reservation!
Doughnut Time x Menz Violet Crumble
What time is it? Doughnut time! Brisbane-born doughnut empire, Doughnut Time is back at it again with another epic flavour and this is one we can’t resist. For a limited time only, they’re partnering up with Menz Violet Crumble – a match made in heaven. Available exclusively in Ampol Foodary locations Australia-wide, stop by for a sweet treat next time your car is low – filling up has never be so delicious!
ChauChow By Zyon
Fortitude Valley’s newest culinary hotspot offers casual Asian-fusion cuisine with a twist—it’s located within a nightclub (yes, a nightclub!). Headed by chefs Jacky Chau and Ben Chow, this pop-up dining concept reimagines Chinese takeaway classics. Found one level above China Town Mall in the former home of The Palace Lounge, guests enter through Zyon’s Duncan Street entrance every Friday and Saturday between 6-10pm. Ascend the gold-accented steps to find ChauChow, a separate yet complementary addition to Zyon. Enjoy a tasty dining concept like no other and maybe even a post-dinner boogie!
Reverie Coffee House
It’s a great day because Paddington has just gained a new cafe! Reverie Coffee House, located on Kennedy Terrace in Paddington, offers Bear Bones Coffee and delicious pastries from Banette – a match made in heaven. With its light-filled ambience, welcoming vibe, and art sourced from local creatives, it’s a place where you can brunch with your bestie or settle in with your laptop. A new Nodo grab-and-go location has just opened in Westfield Carindale and it’s a welcome addition to a hard day of shopping. Mexicali Bar Y Taqueria Brisbane
Hola amigos! Gold Coast cult fave Mexicali is celebrating a decade of serving up tacos and margaritas. And guess what? They’ve just opened a vibrant new rooftop bar and taqueria in Bulimba, bringing the flavours of coastal Mexico to Brisbane. From seafood delights like freshly shucked oysters with a spicy mignonette to street-style corn and pineapple chilli-salt squid, there’s something for every palate. Ardo’s Wine
Sip-Sip hooray! Ardo’s Wine has expanded and has opened up a new cellar and bar in Milton. Cozy up and wine down; Snug, a Korean-inspired cafe and wine bar has just opened in Coorparoo! Led by chefs Leaham Claydon and Jianne Jeoung, this charming spot will serve up coffee, brunch, vino, and snacks, with a nod to Korea’s hospitality scene. Stop by and settle into the welcoming space.
Dijon
A new sandwich joint is coming to town! Dijon, inspired by the popular sandwich shop Hector’s Deli in Melbourne, is popping up in Tarragindi soon. They’ll be serving toasties that pack a punch with housemade sauces that give any other toastie a run for their money. Keep an ear out for the crispy golden crunch – Dijon is opening May/early June.
