Sadly, we can’t include Blair Waldorf’s favourite macaron store – Ladurée because they aren’t in Brisbane… yet. We’ve got our fingers crossed. However, there are many delicious macarons to be found in BNE if you know where to look. We’ve rounded up the best of the best for your taste testing, and besides any excuse to eat a macaron is a good excuse.
Marche du Macaron – Gordon Park & Ashgrove
Located in Gordon Park and recently now open in Ashgrove, Marche du Macaron is a family-owned hub dedicated to macarons of all kinds! The patisserie also serves up freshly-baked handmade delights including gluten-free goods, jam and custard buns, cinnamon doughnuts, bacon and egg rolls, muffins, foccacias, and tarts to name a few of their specialties. This might possibly make for the perfect spot to catch up at for a coffee and sweet treat!
Savour – Chermside
Walk down the cobble stoned path towards Savour in Westfield Chermside not only do they make delicious coffee’s but they’re filled to the brim with French sweets. Savour has a contemporary minimalist interior that showcases the amazing macarons, pastries and eclairs on offer. Head in a check them out or order from their online store.
Le Bon Choix – Multiple Locations
There’s a reason why Le Bon Choix is popping up everywhere and it’s not for its easily pronounced name. Le Bon Choix contains decadent sweets along with mouth-watering savouries all made fresh daily to ensure the perfect taste. Their macarons are something to die for. Make yourself comfortable and order as many as you can, then try one of their macaron cakes to finish off your meal.
The French Patisserie – Toowong
The French Patisserie in Toowong is known by everyone around it, people come from everywhere to grab some of their bread or sweet treats. With an assortment of macarons every time you come you can try out a new flavour.
Passion Tree Velvet – Multiple Locations
This store is both an English tea house and Parisian patisserie what more could you want! Better yet their delectable macarons come in many colours, flavours and fillings. Their iconic blue gift box gives you the perfect excuse to buy more to share. Sit down, relax and enjoy the delicious items available.
Cakes by Judy C – Ashgrove
Judy C knows her sweets. Specialising in cakes and desserts she can make your mouth water just by looking at her creations. Best yet she has her own range of macarons and makes sure to put every bit of love and attention into them as everything else. Go and treat yourself to the best treats around town.
Chouquette – New Farm
With one of the widest French patisserie menus around BNE ranging from artisan bread to sweet bread and every French treat under the sun, there’s no wonder this bakery had to make it onto this list. Their macaroons are also something of wonder delighting your taste buds with the flavours and texture. These guys are a must to check out.
Whisky Business – Capalaba
Whisky business originally began with a love and passion for macarons, there is now a dedicated store for them where you can get them in all different colours and flavours. All the macarons are handmade and are on display in their macaron store.

Let me tell you one thing, Monika knows her macarons. She makes some truly stunning bite-sized treats that will leave you feeling euphoric from the taste. Honestly just check out some of her previous designs and you won’t be disappointed, however, be warned you may be impulsive and buy a whole bunch of them but honestly, we don’t regret it.
