A Burleigh-Born Burger Joint Just Landed In Southbank: Here’s What We Ate

As an office full of die-hard foodies, we are always on the lookout for new places to try in and around Brisbane. So, when we heard Burleigh’s Two Yolks was coming to Brisbane earlier in the year, we knew we had to try it.
Located right in the heart of Southbank, Two Yolks is a cool, orange-accented diner spinning vinyl and slinging American-style burgers from brekkie to dinner. As you can probably guess from the name, the star of the show is egg – delicious, messy, oozy egg – but with unique twists. For breakfast, the Cheesy Scramble (organic scrambled eggs, cream cheese, chives, rocket, American cheese, basil lime aioli), Eggcellent Sandwich (organic egg salad, fresh cucumber, farm lettuce, Japanese aioli), and Bourdain’s Mortadella (an Anthony Bourdain-inspired burger featuring griddled Italian mortadella, provolone cheese, organic egg, dijonnaise) stand out on the menu but let’s be real, you can’t go wrong with any of the options.
Their all-day offerings are just as tasty, but with less of a focus on egg – think Cali Style (double smashed patties, double American cheese, farm lettuce, vine tomatoes, caramelised onions, house pickles, special sauce), Bacon Cheeseburger (double smashed patties, double American cheese, free range bacon, house pickles, special sauce), and Double Truffle (double smashed patties, American cheese, rocket, pickled red onion, real truffle cheese sauce, real truffle aioli).
Plus, with a bunch of mouthwatering sides like truffle fries and onion rings, as well as thick shakes, fresh juices, and delicious cocktails, they’ve got you covered for every craving. So, what did the Style team think? Read on.

“The most delish burger I’ve had in a long time – juicy, flavourful, and cooked to perfection in between two soft buns! The truffle fries were as good as they sound and the perfect pairing to the burger.” – Sarah
