A Chic New Euro-Style Wine Bar Just Opened In Fortitude Valley
sip pretty
By Victoria Lewis | 18th June 2026Fortitude Valley has just welcomed a brand-new wine and cocktail bar, where warm light and sunset-coloured interiors offer a golden-hour glow from within, creating moments of European-inspired escapism from the winter chill.
The new venue from Potentia Leisure, the same team that gave us Lina Rooftop, Azteca, Soko Rooftop, and The Hills of Rivermakers, Bar Lucé pairs refined design with a cosy atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for laid-back evenings fuelled by share plates and creative cocktails.
Yet, this isn’t your average wine bar. Open for brekkie from 7am to 10am daily, before transitioning into a wine bar and lounge until late, Bar Lucé caters to Brisbane’s appetite from early-morning catch-ups to late-night sips.
The latest addition to Constance Street, Bar Lucé feels opulent but distinctly relaxed. From tapas-style bites to terracotta-toned interiors and lush velvet accents, it offers Brisbane something unique while feeling perfectly poised among Fortitude Valley and Newstead’s thriving nightlife scene.
Sip, sip
A menu of 10 bespoke cocktails complements a curated wine collection spanning local pours and internationally sourced gems. For those gearing up for Dry July, a handful of thoughtful mocktails also feature on the drinks list, including a pear-infused Pear Mirage, with each given just as much care and attention as their alcoholic counterparts.
And those who say “golden hour” is their middle name, the Afternoon Shift happy hour is where you’ll want to be. From 4pm to 6pm, Wednesday through Saturday, $10 gets you martinis, wines, pints, and snacks. So gather the group chat – this is a girls’ night waiting to happen.
On the menu
As for the menu, the small share plates – think red prawn carpaccio, crispy eggplant, and mortadella skewers – are the main event, while pizzas and heartier mains offer something more substantial.
Bar Lucé is now open for bookings, serving breakfast daily from 7am to 10am, before reopening from 4pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 12pm until late from Friday to Sunday. Book your table here.
