Yes, NSW may be known for the Hunter Valley, Adelaide for Mclaren Vale, WA for Margaret River, but what about something just as special, closer to home? We’ve rounded up some of the best wineries our region has produced, all within reach of Brisbane. Ideal for weekend getaways, day trips and celebrations, this is where you can stay and play while sipping your day away.

Flame Hill Vineyard | Montville

Escape to the Sunshine Coast hinterland and wine, dine and stay! With wine tastings at the cellar door, Flame Hill is known as a heavenly escape on the mountains where they provide 100% estate-grown and hand-picked grapes instantly from their own vineyards. Their award-winning on-site restaurant serves delicious vegetables and grass-fed Angus beef, which is also grown and produced on-site for a farm to plate feeling. Not only will the ambience impress, but the views are breathtaking – from the vineyard, you will have two very opposite but stunning views of the green Sunshine Coast hinterland and the Northern Ocean views to observe while you sit back and sip-away. It makes for a great day trip north, otherwise a romantic weekend getaway. If you want to pull-out all the stops, why not travel by helicopter? Now we’re talking! Explore their Instagram and website for more and what owner, Tony Thompson, has in store.
