West End’s New Theatre Is Set To Send Sparks Flying
It’s electrifying!
Every Brisbane local knows that if you’re after a hearty dose of culture, you head straight to the southern suburb of West End. Here, a delightful mix of ethnicities and a vibrant art scene come together to create a laid-back hub where inclusion, self-expression, and creativity are celebrated.
That’s why Brisbane’s newest hotspot, The West End Electric, fits right in!
Run by the Brisbane-born and globally prolific production team, Strut & Fret (the geniuses behind shows like Blanc de Blanc and The Party), this 400+ seat theatre is set to light up the city with thrilling shows all year long.
Opening on 29 August, The West End Electric will kick things off with its smash hit show LIMBO – THE RETURN, as part of the Brisbane Festival. This circus spectacle has wowed audiences around the world, leaving them hungry for more.
After the roaring success of Strut & Fret’s Sydney venue, The Grand Electric, which launched last year, Creative Director Scott Maidment dreamt of bringing the same magic to his hometown. And voila! The West End Electric was born.
Channelling the flair of London’s famous West End theatre district, designer James Brown promises a venue that’s “chic and luxurious with the essence of historical vaudeville, bohemian hedonism, and abandonment.” With its fully immersive design, prepare to be absolutely dazzled the moment you step through the doors.
Tickets to LIMBO – THE RETURN go on sale today so secure your spot so you can be the first to experience Brisbane’s exciting new addition to its cultural scene.
So, who’s up for a night at the theatre?
