First Look: The New Entertainment Venue Opening At The Star Brisbane

Now rivaling the likes of Melbourne and Sydney, the highly-anticipated addition of Queen’s Wharf and its entertainment hub, The Star Brisbane, to our city’s dining and entertainment scene is about to help us reach new heights.
As we Brisbanites know, it’s hard to ignore the construction site that’s been looming over the CBD since 2020. But the light at the end of the tunnel is near, and with The Star Brisbane’s newest live entertainment venue LiveWire having just been announced, the grand opening can’t roll around fast enough.
Building on the success of the Treasury Brisbane’s LiveWire 24/7 Sports Bar, The Star Brisbane is bringing us a LiveWire 2.0, a specialised live entertainment venue alongside a sports bar. LiveWire will shine a spotlight on homegrown talent through a diverse range of live acts and late-night entertainment: think everything from concerts and stand-up comedy to drag shows.
Boasting stunning panoramic views of the river and a bespoke, bold fit-out featuring a 19-metre-long bar encircling the space, the venue is set to become an integral part of Brisbane’s nightlife.
With the first stage of Queen’s Wharf’s grand opening set for later in the year, other notable venues to expect include a reimagined Fat Noodle restaurant by celebrity chef Luke Nguyen, a new Italian restaurant Cucina Regina, the signature five-star hotel The Star Grand, and the highly-anticipated Sky Deck trio.
LiveWire will be located on Level 5, within The Star Brisbane. Plus, LiveWire’s full entertainment program and booth packages will be released soon, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
