A New Artisanal French Restaurant Arrives In Albion

Oui, oui!

Lovers of fine food and wine (aka all of us) have a new locale to add to their must-visit list – Hervé’s Restaurant and Bar.

Taking over the top floor of Albion’s newly transformed Craft’d Grounds, Hervé’s is the French-inspired vision of some of Australia’s leaders in the wine, culinary, and business industries. There’s co-founder and namesake, Hervé Dudognon, who’s notable career includes stints in Paris’ Hotel De Crillon, Gold Coast’s Palazzo Versace, Hong Kong’s Mandarin Oriental, and our very own Howard Smith Wharves. Joining him will be husband-and-wife duo Alex and Chris Norman, who will be on board as executive chef and executive pastry chef respectively, bringing their experience from top-hatted and Michelin-starred restaurants, including the Ritz Hotel in London and at the Emporium Group. Plus, as French food is all about the love, Hervé’s wife, Cristina, is supporting the endeavour, creating a thoughtfully designed restaurant and cocktail bar that pairs elegance with exceptional food.

Hervé’s Restaurant and Bar

The world-class yet relaxed dining experience celebrates the romance of experimenting and preparing fresh produce, taking notes from French and Australian culture. Featuring a wine list from vineyards and winemakers who have respect for the natural environment as well as your palate, every aspect of what appears on your plate and in your glass has been carefully considered to knock your socks off.

As for the fit out, the design is led by Byron Bay-based designer, Katie Cameron, whose work you’ll recognise across Howard Smith Wharves, including Stanley Restaurant, Greenhouse, and Rivershed. Complementing the rich history of the building with a layer of sumptuous luxury, expect warm timber, terrazzo tones, and an open view into the kitchen and wood-fired oven to complete the romantic and immersive experience.

Hervé’s Restaurant and Bar is now open at Craft’d Grounds, 31-37 Collingwood Street, Albion.
