If you’ve heard about the Calile Culture: ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE – that cool pop-up happening on James Street at the moment – then you’re in for a treat. The latest installation is hosted by ARTCLUB, led by the renowned Aussie designer Heidi Middleton, is all about merging the worlds of art and fashion.

Middleton, once best known as sass & bide’s co-founder, hails from the outer Brisbane suburb of Brookfield. Currently splitting her time between Sydney and Brisbane, she dedicates herself to her latest passion project, ARTCLUB.

The pop-up is a collection of bold modernist shapes and understated colour palettes. Each garment and hand-painted print is made in limited numbers. ARTCLUB brings Middleton’s artwork and her latest fashion collection together for the first time in a public showcase.

This current ARTCLUB installation partners with the beloved brand Lucy Folk, a favourite among the Style team. The collaboration brings together two of Australia’s leading fashion creatives in a pop-up artist residency in The Calile precinct. It’s nothing short of iconic.

Sydney-based Lucy Folk is renowned for its high-quality crafted pieces, ranging from wearable art jewellery to towelling robe dresses and ultra-chic accessories that elevate any outfit. A female-owned label, Lucy Folk stands as an iconic Australian brand cherished by fashion enthusiasts globally.

“This collaboration embodies our belief in fashion as an homage to the craft of creation, reflecting our shared love for the artisanal process, where each piece is imbued with intention and soul” – Founder, Lucy Folk.

To kick off this pop-up residency, The Calile is throwing an exclusive event on the evening of Wednesday, February 28th. Hotel guests can join this intimate gathering to get up close and personal with Heidi and Lucy, welcoming the duo with a creative evening of conversation and cocktails.

For Brissy locals not staying at The Calile Hotel, don’t worry.
