A full-time Olympic beach volleyball player with Olympic, World, and Commonwealth medals under her belt, Mariafe Artacho Del Solar is gearing up for her third Olympics while simultaneously nurturing her unisex loungewear brand, del solar The Label. Below, we spoke to the star sportswoman and fashion entrepreneur about her journey beyond the sand, as she blends athleticism with style.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
To always stay true to myself, which for me is to be authentic and kind. I’m proud to say that it has and still is one of my strongest values.
Whose style do you admire?
Hailey Bieber.
What does a training week look like for you?
A Monday to Friday for me consists of three gym sessions, four more on the sand, and then three stand-alone conditioning sessions. Add in two physio sessions, as well as our weekly catch ups with our team service providers like our psychs, dieticians and sports nutritionists.
If you could be dressed by one brand, who would you choose?
Christian Dior.
What are three things you always pack when you travel?
Hydrating face masks, Apple headphones, and lip balm.
Fave scent?
Cloud by Ariana Grande or Si by Georgio Armani.
What’s your skincare routine?
I like to keep it simple but I love DMK products as my moisturisers and serums. I also love Go-Tos Face Hero oil, which I use with my gua sha. I’ve also used Invisible Zinc sunscreen for years as my go-to sunscreen brand.

The brand as a whole has one mission: to empower individuals to celebrate their unique identities whilst being comfortable in their own skin.
What’s next for you?
On court: focusing on Paris.
Off court: growing del solar. I have big visions and plans for the brand so I’m excited to see where it goes!
