From Geek To Chic: How Glasses Have Become A Trendy AF Fashion Statement

Nerd alert

If you’ve been blessed with less-than-perfect vision, chances are you’ve neglected your specs for contacts or even gone through life squinting in the name of fashion. For as long as we can remember, glasses were the ultimate symbol of geekiness and hardly the pinnacle of fashion.

But, times have changed. In today’s fashion-forward world, even the most practical inconveniences are being transformed into stylish statements – and glasses are no exception. They’ve undergone such a glow-up that even people with perfect 20/20 vision want in. Fancy that!

From Miu Miu’s runway showcase of glasses last year to style icons like Hailey Beiber and Bella Hadid stepping out in sleek frames, the coolest trendsetters have been redefining eyewear as a must-have accessory.

The rule of thumb? The nerdier, the better. We’re loving 70s-inspired aviator frames for a retro look and the timeless 90s black rectangle styles that give office siren (think Gisele Bündchen in The Devil Wears Prada). Miu Miu’s dainty circular frames are also popping up everywhere and have quickly become an influencer favourite. Ultimately, it’s all about finding the fit and vibe that complement your face and your style. If you’re an accessory-lover like me, nothing gets you going like a new product to add to your repertoire. And when the bad-vision baddies in your life throw shade? Just tell them it’s for blue-light protection.

It’s an eyewear evolution people – let’s be a part of it!
