total takeover

By Victoria Lewis | 4th September 2026

Since 2017, Arms Of Eve has been adorning the OOTDs of women and girls everywhere with their staple jewellery pieces, and is now letting Brisbane locals shop their accessories and resortwear in the flesh with two new Queensland boutiques opening in the coming months.

First cab off the rank is a new Westfield Chermside store to open this weekend, marking the brand’s first physical store in Brisbane, to be followed by a Byron Bay location set to open at the end of October, marking its tenth and eleventh retail stores nationwide.

To mark the occasion, we sat down with Arms Of Eve co-founder Kerryn Langer to discuss the new openings, her journey in creating a global jewellery brand from humble beginnings selling jewellery in Sydney’s market scene, and how to grow a brand while still staying grounded.

Arms Of Eve Chermside Grand Opening

Adding to their Noosa and Pacific Fair boutiques, the Chermside opening this weekend signifies the brand’s first physical presence in Brisbane and an opportunity to introduce Arms Of Eve to a new audience while also creating a physical home for the Brisbane customers who are already shopping the brand online. On the expansion into Brisbane, Kerryn says, “There is a natural connection between the brand and the Queensland lifestyle – sunshine, travel, colour, the ocean and that effortless way of dressing from day into evening.”

So, what can customers expect for the grand opening on Saturday? Arms Of Eve will celebrate its Brisbane launch with a special celebration including 20% off storewide, a limited-edition Arms Of Eve x Nodo donut for the first 50 customers, drinks from Sipcoco, and limited-edition Chermside totes filled with special gifts for our first 20 customers. Kerryn will be in-store personally on the day, so you can get her personal insights and styling advice for your Arms Of Eve stack.

The shop floor, where you can shop their range of crushed gold and stone jewellery alongside accessories, clothing, and resortwear IRL, is everything Kerryn has created Arms Of Eve to be. She says, “It has that warm, sun-soaked coastal energy that sits at the heart of the brand, but with an elevated feel.”

“We want people to walk through the doors and immediately feel as though they’ve stepped into the Arms Of Eve world. We never want a boutique to feel intimidating; it should feel welcoming, energetic and fun.”

The beginning of Arms Of Eve

It was humble beginnings for the now global jewellery and lifestyle brand. Having lived in Los Angeles, co-founders Aaron and Kerryn Langer returned to Australia and followed the wave of inspiration that comes along with travel, fashion, and immersing yourself in different cultures.

“There was definitely no grand business plan in the beginning. I started selling scarves and ponchos at the Bondi and Paddington markets in Sydney, and gradually introduced more accessories, hats, and jewellery. Those markets became the most incredible testing ground because I was standing directly in front of the customer every weekend. I could see what she picked up, what she tried on, what she loved and what she came back for,” says Kerryn on the early days in Sydney’s market scene.

“In the early market days, there was this wonderful sense of discovery. Someone would walk past, find a piece they hadn’t seen anywhere else and fall in love with it. That still happens today, but our audience is now so much broader.”

“One of our first big breaks came when THE ICONIC discovered Arms Of Eve through the markets.”

She adds, “Suddenly, this little brand we were building had the opportunity to reach customers all over Australia.” Being discovered by THE ICONIC was an early turning point in the brand’s growth, and Kerryn quickly noticed that jewellery was the category most customers connected with, ultimately shaping Arms Of Eve into the brand it is today.

National retail expansion

Of course, another milestone in the Arms Of Eve journey for both Kerryn and Aaron was opening their first physical store in Bondi Beach in 2021.

“We had become such a strong online business that we weren’t initially convinced retail was necessary, but Bondi completely changed our thinking.”

Rather than competing with their flourishing e-commerce site, Kerryn says expanding into the physical retail space “strengthened the brand online within the surrounding area rather than competing with e-commerce – customers wanted to touch the jewellery, try things on, build stacks and have our team help style them.”

The national expansion has not stopped since then. Today, Arms Of Eve has nine boutiques across Australia, with Chermside about to become their tenth. “We’ll have a total of 13 before year’s end. When I think back to standing behind a table at the Bondi markets, that is quite surreal,” she adds.

On making beauty accessible

What is refreshingly obvious through Kerryn’s words is that her drive is as authentic as it was in the days she started. “For me, Arms Of Eve has always been about much more than jewellery. It’s about self-expression and the feeling jewellery and accessories give you. It’s an entire coastal aesthetic that has always been my vibe,” she says.

As a maximalist at heart, Kerryn is a firm believer that jewellery should be fun, a key reason so many of her pieces are designed to be mixed, matched, and stacked just to your liking. Handcrafted from recycled stainless steel and finished in 14k gold plating, these are pieces designed to be worn every day, and everywhere you go – waterproof, tarnish-free, and skin-friendly.

There is another side to the Arms Of Eve ethos that makes it stand out in the market, and that’s its accessibility – something she attributes to her success. “I’ve never wanted beautiful jewellery to feel exclusive or intimidating. I want women to be able to discover something special, beautifully designed and high quality at an accessible price point. That philosophy has helped the brand appeal to an incredibly broad audience.”

“Ultimately, I want someone to put on an Arms Of Eve piece and instantly feel a little more confident and a little more themselves.”

How to grow but stay grounded

For all the growth the brand has experienced over the last few years, and continues to build on, to Kerryn, the experience is one she is going through with all her customers. “Our customer has grown with us, but what is lovely is that we haven’t lost the customer we started with. I still bump into the same customers in Sydney that I sold to in the markets.”

She has built the brand to have universal appeal, rather than belong to a particular age or demographic – for all women who want their jewellery to last, not feel overly fussy, and feel a little bit like them. “We have teenagers shopping alongside their mums, women who have been collecting Arms Of Eve for years, customers buying gifts for friends and family and then inevitably finding something for themselves.”

It’s this relationship with her customer base that physical retail stores have helped her grow. “Retail also gives us something digital never fully can: human connection,” she says. “Jewellery is incredibly tactile and emotional. E-commerce can show you a beautiful product, but there is something very different about coming into an Arms Of Eve boutique, trying on five bracelets, adding another two, mixing gold with beads or stones, and having one of our stylists help create a look you may never have put together yourself.”

What’s next for Arms Of Eve?

In amongst the growth, one thing stays important to Kerryn: “There is so much happening, but our biggest focus is making sure we grow without losing the soul of Arms Of Eve.”

With the arrival of four new national stores before year’s end, Arms Of Eve has also set its sights on global markets. “Internationally, the US is incredibly exciting for us. Arms Of Eve has already had exposure there through US national retailers and worn by celebrities and influencers, and we’re now working towards a much more considered, dedicated US launch. More on that later!”

“The thing I’m probably most conscious of, though, is protecting the feeling that got us here. Even as we become a larger business, I still want to approach Arms Of Eve the way I did at those markets: to stay incredibly close to our customer, trust my instincts, keep travelling, keep being curious, and only create things I genuinely love.”

Founder faves

As far as current faves, Kerryn’s list is extensive, but right now she is loving layering crushed-gold cuffs with colourful beaded, pearl, and semi-precious stone pieces. It’s a combination of texture, colour, and gold that perfectly captures the layered Arms Of Eve aesthetic.

She says these pieces, including her latest accessories and resortwear, “reflect so much of what inspires me – travel, summer, faraway shores, the earth, sun, and sea – and effortlessly take you from beach to bar.”
