Eat Street Northshore | Hamilton

For the indecisive dessert connoisseur comes Eat Street: a former container wharf that now houses stall after stall of street eats to satisfy all your cravings. Feel like churros? Tick. Dutch pancakes? Tick. Donut fries? Yep, they’ve got that too! Open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm, you certainly won’t be going home hungry. 

Krazy Dessert Restaurant & Bar | Hamilton

You can’t miss this purple neon oasis on Racecourse Road, dishing up trendy desserts and drinks for all your sugar cravings! Miss Claudes Crepes | Newmarket & South Brisbane

Brisbane’s very own French creperie and bar is where you’ll find authentic crepes served with all the lashings. Whether you opt for their signature suzette or the crowd-favourite Nutella combo, Miss Claudes knows how to treat you right. Their decadent house-made brownies are also worth a visit of their own, and the vegans in the house will appreciate their extensive options.

13 Bees | Fortitude Valley

Fact: you don’t need to wait for your birthday to grab yourself a cake. Instead, head on over to this contemporary bakery STAT for boundary-pushing and unique combinations in the form of fluffy cheesecakes and decadent cookie pies. Fittingly found in the Valley’s Bakery Lane, 13 Bees might be a hole-in-the-wall spot but it goes big on flavour. 

Brooki Bakehouse | Fortitude Valley

We’re pretty lucky here in BNE, because we’re home to the internet’s favourite cookies. Baked fresh daily, the chunky cookies at Brooki will have you licking up every crumb to ensure you don’t miss a moment in sweet heaven. Brooki bestsellers include their dark choc walnut, Nutella milk choc chip, red velvet, and biscoff. In other words, you can’t order wrong here.  

Nodo | Multiple Locations

Who would’ve guessed that gluten-free donuts would have Brisbane (and beyond) by a chokehold? Nodo has cemented itself as an oh-so-sweet institution, renowned for their baked goods that combine artisan methods with naturally gluten free ingredients. Their baked-not-fried donuts hit the spot like a hole in one! 

Dello Mano | Brisbane City

You can’t call yourself a sweet tooth until you’ve tried the handcrafted luxury brownies at Dello Mano. Here, the making of chocolate is a true art form – resulting in indulgent creations that will have your mouth-watering long after the plate is empty. Their gourmet gifts are also the perfect way to treat a special someone in your life. 

Jocelyn’s Provisions | Multiple Locations

A sweet staple since 1996, the baked goods at Jocelyn’s have garnered crowds for literal decades. Using the highest quality ingredients and time-honoured methods, a quick perusal of these shelves will send you on a decadent journey through scrumptious cakes, pastries, brownies, and more. Author’s note: their chocolate sour cream cake truly is the best thing since sliced bread!

If a dessert masterpiece is what you’re after, then Anita needs to be on your radar. Honed by rich heritage and culinary excellence, heavenly gelato is on the cards in their West End store, from a rotating list of over 150 world-famous flavours. They even offer sweet scoops without added sugar for a guilt-free (and well-deserved!) chance to treat yourself. 

Gelato Messina | Fortitude Valley & South Brisbane

With a cult following around the world, it’s not unusual to see the Messina line wrap around the block – and with one taste of their delicious flavours you’ll understand why! The 40 flavour cabinet at Messina is home to some of the best gelato in town, with rotating weekly specials for those who like to expand their palette. The hardest part? Choosing your order! 

Happy Pops | South Brisbane

Pop in for a taste of the good stuff from this Noosa icon – without the need to drive up the coast. The picture-perfect and hand-crafted artisanal gelato and sorbet here is served on a stick for the most convenient indulgence. Add in your own toppings for lick after lick of yumminess tailored to your heart’s desire! 

La Macelleria | Multiple Locations

Take your dessert Italian-style with flavours made exactly how it’s done in Bologna – aka the home of gelato. La Macelleria specialises in classic ‘creme’ and fresh ‘sorbetti’ scoops made from the finest ingredients and seasonal fruits, as well as top-tier espresso to get your caffeine fix.
