What’s The Secret To Effortless Parisian Hair?
Less fuss, more texture
By Kiri Johnston | 16th October 2026Hair that looks effortless usually has a little help behind it. At CAMILLA AND MARC’s first Paris Fashion Week presentation, the Spring Summer 2027 collection was complemented by natural texture, soft movement, and an undone finish, offering a beauty reference worth saving alongside the clothes.
Australian haircare brand O&M joined the label as official hair partner, with hair directed by Diane Gorgievski, its international editorial director. Drawing inspiration from the diversity and understated confidence of Parisian women, she gave each model’s own texture and character room to come through.
“The hair for CAMILLA AND MARC was about embracing the diversity of Parisian women – celebrating individuality through different textures and finishes,” says Gorgievski.
Work with what you have
Presented across 12 models, the collection explored different women and personalities coming together around one table. The hair followed the same approach, enhancing individual textures while maintaining a cohesive finish.
For those of us taking notes at home, that’s the useful takeaway: start with your own texture. Give it some attention, build in movement, and resist the temptation to make every strand behave exactly the same way.
It’s an approach that also runs through this spring’s hair trends, with a focus on making the most of what you have.
A Parisian address
Hosted by creative director Camilla Freeman-Topper and CEO Marc Freeman, the presentation took place at 216 Rue de Rivoli, overlooking the Tuileries.
Alexander May Studio, led by Alexander May with Ole Lund, designed the presentation environment within the private Parisian apartment. Rich cream tones, black lacquer, draped textiles, furniture, and art echoed the collection’s balance of softness and structure.
Approximately 100 guests, including international press, buyers, industry leaders, and friends of the brand, viewed the collection up close.
The hair complemented that setting: polished enough for the occasion, with softness and movement that kept it relaxed. Makeup, directed by Rebecca Wordingham, followed the same understated approach, with fresh skin and subtle lips.
How to get the look
The hair direction paired structure at the roots with natural movement through the lengths, giving it polish without losing its softness. The backstage product selection focused on preparation, volume, texture, and flexible hold. Here’s O&M’s approach:
1. Prepare the hair. Apply O&M CØR.restore Colour Lock Milk and CØR.restore Leave-In Treatment.
2. Build volume. Work O&M Atonic Thickening Spritz through the hair to enhance natural texture.
3. Blow dry. Follow your hair’s natural texture and movement as you dry.
4. Prepare for styling. Apply O&M Flexible Queenie Flexible Hold Hairspray to provide a base for tong styling.
5. Finish with texture. Mist O&M Desert Dry Texture Spray through the hair for a soft, undone finish.
The secret? A little preparation, some strategic styling, and enough freedom for your own texture to do its thing.
