The Haircuts & Colours You’re About To See Everywhere This Spring
Your spring hair refresh starts here
By Kiri Johnston | 19th August 2026New season, new hair? Spring 2026 is bringing warmer colour, softer texture and a return to seriously good hair.
High-impact blonde is making a comeback, copper is taking on a peachier finish, and brunette is being brightened with golden tones. On the cut front, movement is taking over, with feathery fringes, natural curls and big ’90s volume leading the way.
So, what should you be asking for at your next appointment? We asked Jaye Edwards of EdwardsAndCo to break down the seven hair trends set to take over salons this spring.
Slavic Doll Blonde
After seasons of lived-in colour, blonde is getting brighter again. Slavic Doll Blonde is luminous, polished and deliberately high-impact, marking a move away from the grown-out roots and softer blondes we’ve seen in recent seasons.
“Slavic Doll Blonde is all about a luminous, almost porcelain blonde with a soft, polished finish. We’re seeing this come through as clients lean into high-impact, statement blondes, a polished contrast to the more lived-in blondes we’ve seen dominating in recent seasons,” Edwards says.

Sunset Blonde
If icy blonde has had its moment, Sunset Blonde is its warmer counterpart. Honey, peach and golden tones come together to create a softer blonde with plenty of dimension.
“Sunset Blonde brings together soft honey, peach and golden tones for a blonde that feels rich and dimensional. For spring, we’re seeing a move towards warmer, softer blondes that feel healthy and effortless rather than overly cool or icy,” Edwards says.

Hazel Bronde
For brunettes wanting to go lighter without going blonde, Hazel Bronde sits comfortably somewhere in between. Soft brunette and golden blonde tones add brightness and dimension while keeping the overall colour natural and relatively low-maintenance.
“Hazel Bronde blends soft brunette and golden blonde tones for a natural, expensive-looking colour with plenty of dimension. It’s trending for spring because it gives you that lighter, brighter feeling without committing to a full blonde, perfect for a more low-maintenance colour,” Edwards says.

Apricot Copper
Copper is sticking around for spring, this time with a softer, peachier finish. Apricot Copper combines warm peach and copper tones for a colour that catches the light without becoming overly bright.
“This Apricot Copper brings together warm peach and copper tones for a fresh colour that feels playful without being too bright. The softer take on copper feels really fresh for spring, when clients tend to want warmer, more luminous tones that catch the light,” Edwards says.

The Odessa A’zion-Inspired Cut
Natural texture is having its moment, with softer cuts designed to work with curls and movement instead of controlling them. Inspired by Odessa A’zion, this cut is layered, undone and individual.
“Inspired by Odessa A’zion, this curly cut has movement, softness and just the right amount of undone texture. It taps into the spring shift towards hair that feels effortless and individual, with texture and movement taking priority over overly structured cuts,” Edwards says.

The ’90s Supermodel Side Part
The centre part has had a very good run. This spring, the side part is making its way back, complete with big, bouncy volume and soft layers reminiscent of the ’90s supermodel blowout.
“The side part is back. Think big, bouncy volume, soft layers and that effortless ’90s supermodel finish, polished, but never too perfect. The ’90s influence continues to have a huge impact on hair, and the side part brings back that glamorous, voluminous finish in a way that still feels modern,” Edwards says.

Feathery French Bangs
Want a change without losing your length? Feathery French bangs offer a softer alternative to the traditional blunt fringe, lightly framing the face while keeping the overall cut relaxed.
“Soft, lightweight and effortlessly chic. Feathery French bangs frame the face without feeling heavy, giving any haircut that cool Parisian finish. They’re perfect for spring because they offer a fresh change without a dramatic haircut, softening the face while still keeping the overall look light and effortless,” Edwards says.

From brighter blondes and peachy copper to side parts and softer fringes, spring’s biggest hair trends are less about a complete overhaul and more about a fresh update. The only question left is which one you’re taking to your next appointment.
