Scoot back in time and experience a taste of luxury countryside at northern New South Wale’s newest hotel, Sun Ranch Byron Bay. Sprawled across 55 acres of regenerated farmland, the 1970s Cali-inspired estate is a masterpiece of design and innovation, with plenty to have you throwing out a yeehaw.

Driven by a passion to push boundaries, Co-creators Julia Ashwood and Jamie Blakey have created a modern-day bohemian getaway that exceeds the ordinary and truly wows at first glance. “We’ve created a place that we hope really inspires our guests. From the moment you come through the gates, you’ll know you’ve arrived somewhere different. From the unexpected design moments to the array of different offerings here at the ranch we hope you leave feeling like you can conquer the world,” Jamie says.

With meticulously crafted artwork adorning the walls, ceramic vessels crafted by local artisans taking centrestage, and thoughtfully placed vintage furniture, Sun Ranch epitomises the charm of a bygone spaghetti Western era with modern elegance.

Here you’ll find five-room luxury guest house, The Rambler Longhouse, with an additional six two-bedroom barns for those craving some privacy. Along with its iconic 25-metre hillside pool club, revel in the luxury of The Badminton Club, The Whiskey Lounge, The Lair, and an outdoor dining space called The Field House, which is decked out with an Argentinian BBQ.

Feeling adventurous? Book in for horseback riding or lean into the ‘Cosmic Cowboy’ experience, which includes astrology, sound heading, and cacao ceremonies. Whether you find yourself entranced by the sultry beats of a jazz record in the intimate Whiskey Lounge or captivated by the infectious rhythms of a live band under the stars, the soundscape at Sun Ranch is undeniably enchanting and magnetic. For all our foodies, Sun Ranch offers a spectacular culinary experience showcasing the talents of Resident Chef Philippa Sumback, incorporating the farm-to-table concept with an abundance of local fresh and organic produce.

Dedicated to the ultra-chic Californian ranch houses of the ‘70s with Spanish influences, this rodeo-themed escape is designed to ignite the passions of music lovers, foodies, wellness enthusiasts, and those seeking a haven that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly contemporary.
