PSA: Customs House’s Iconic Pop-Up Igloo Bar Is Returning This Winter
Sacré bleu
Winter in Brisbane signals a lot of things – chilly blue skies, swapping linens for knits, and the return of Customs House’s highly anticipated seasonal pop-up bar.
The winter wonderland by the river, Veuve Clicquot In The Snow, is returning from Thursday 18 May to keep you and your mates cosy in a totally unique experience. In homage to Aspen chalets, the must-do pop-up is set to transport you to a snowy resort without stepping outside the River City.
Tuck yourself under faux-fur blankets and sip Veuve Clicquot Champagne (duh!), as well as French, Australian, and New Zealand wines. For those who prefer the sweeter things in life, winter-themed cocktails will be on hand such as Berries and Bubbles and last year’s crowd-favourite, Whisky Business.
The snack menu will of course feature Veuve Clicquot In The Show’s ever-popular Moreton Bay bug croissant, topped with a zingy lime and dill mayo. You can also peck on Oscietra caviar with traditional accompaniments, fresh Tasmanian Pacific Oysters, or the baked whole brie that’s sure to keep you toasty.
With no need to reserve casual seating around the igloos, groups can secure individual igloos online from May to July. These private igloos will require a minimum spend of $80 per person with a minimum booking of 6 and maximum of 11 guests, making for the perfect winter escape for you and your crew.
