So Cool! A Winter Wonderland Is Popping Up In Hamilton This June

Ice, ice baby! 

The kids have only just gone back to school, but if you’re already looking ahead to the winter holidays, or even just looking for some family fun to celebrate the colder days on the weekends, this magical winter wonderland has you covered.

The Australian Venue Co will be transforming the Northshore Riverfront into a magical winter village on 3 June, complete with an ice-skating rink, snow showers, food trucks, pop-up bars, and an igloo village.

Running until 29 August, this event will allow Brisbane locals to live out their professional figure-skating dreams on the rink. While entry into the event is free, 45-minute all-inclusive ice-skating sessions can be purchased on the day for as little as $10 for toddlers and $24 for adults, or book ahead here.

When your finished showing up all the kids with your impressive moves on the ice, treat yourself to an exclusive igloo experience. Starting at $49 per person for up to five people, these igloos are decked out with comfy armchairs, soft cushions, and twinkling fairy lights, and include a share-style feast delivered to your igloo door. We strongly recommend booking ahead here.

If you miss out on snagging one of the 22 private igloos, don’t fret! You’ll still have access to a pop-up kitchen, serving up our favourite winter treats like giant pretzels, fried chicken, and mac and cheese bites. The Sip Bar will also be in a handy, offering espresso martinis, Aperol spritz, beer, wine or classic hot choccys.
