Follow the scent of fresh pasta, woodfired bread, and cheesy goodness to the Main Lawn from Friday 26 May to Sunday 28 May and Friday 2 June to Sunday 4 June, for two weekends of Italian feasting. Festa Italiana is hosted in collaboration with guest chef and cult culinary icon Orazio D’Elia, whose resume includes iconic Bondi Beach institutions like Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, and currently Da Orazio Pizza + Porchetta.
A stroll through this Italian food market will send you on a delectable journey of Chef Orazio’s renowned dishes. Highlights on the menu include the famous vodka rigatoni – featuring a creamy tomato and vodka sauce generously sprinkled with parmesan – and the fan-favourite Orazio’s focaccia con porchetta, served fresh from the rotisserie with chilli marinated grilled eggplant, cos lettuce, and mayonnaise packed into Schiacciatina bread.
Orazio’s famous dishes will be joined by an array of authentic Italian delights, such as fare served from a live pasta station, local Casa Motta buffalo mozzarella, woodfired bread, creamy gelato, and Italian drinks – think classic aperitivo, Aperol spritz, and peach bellinis. With music and entertainment to transport you to the streets of Naples and beyond, gather your amici and famiglia and dig in!
