’Tis (almost) the season! For us Aussies, Christmas usually consists of cooking up a feast on the bbq, blasting the air-con, and hoping it doesn’t get any hotter. But, this winter weather has us dreaming of a white Christmas and there are so many events coming up to make you feel like Santa came early. From mulled wines to merry lunches and a whole lotta tinsel, here are Brisbane and beyond’s best Christmas in July events to get you in that festive mood.

Feel the seasonal spirit at Botany with a delicious three-course set menu and bon-bons lining the table. The delicious spread includes roasted capsicum hummus, slow-cooked tri-tip steak, harissa spiced half-chicken, and a zesty passionfruit cheesecake to finish, sure to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Although it’s not technically a Christmas in July event, the Winter Made Local Market is the perfect place to support Brisbane makers and find an extra special, hand-made Secret Santa gift for your loved ones. With over 100 local makers, designers, artists and creators, head to the Brisbane Showgrounds and peruse the extensive collection.

It’s a festive fiesta at Hey Chica! Swapping salsa for Santa, they’ll be throwing a week of white Christmas celebrations, featuring themed menu items, a boozy Christmas cocktail menu, and the soft fall of snow to give you the authentic experience. Book here.
