The December edition of the Farm Gate To City Door Markets will feature a merry twist, as Scenic Rim’s beloved providores share their wares in Newstead.
On Saturday 3 December, you’ll find everything from seasonal fruit to artisan honey, boutique wines, award-winning cheeses, and locally distilled spirits. With 14 stallholders arriving from the country to hawk their goods, you’ll feel as fresh as can be without the need of a faraway escape.
The festive fun will see face painting for the kids, live music, and a surprise visit from Mr Claus himself, with Santa joining the markets to sprinkle some seasonal cheer. With the whole family in tow, you can make a whole day of it and hire an eco-friendly, self-skippered GoBoat – conveniently moored at Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct – and cruise down the Brisbane River while nibbling on your Scenic Rim goodies. Oh, and did we mention furry friends are welcome too? It’s a day out to rival Christmas itself!
