Living Loud: 20 Years of Youngcare | Friday 3 October 

Brisbane, get ready to turn up the volume at Living Loud’s 20-year celebration of Youngcare! Hosted by Myf Warhurst, the night will explode with Australia’s iconic pop anthems from The Veronicas, an electrifying DJ set from Client Liason and more unstoppable energy from local favourites, HANNI, Later Daze and Rexy. More than just a concert, it’s a celebration of two decades of the not-for-profit organisation, Youngcare, changing lives- supporting young people with complex and permanent physical disabilities. It’s a night to get LOUD, dance hard and rally for more change in the future.

Modrian Gold Coast Sounds of Summer | Sunday 5 October

Can you feel it? Summer’s in the air, and the Gold Coast’s hottest new hotel, Mondrian Gold Coast, is bringing the heat with the ultimate long weekend launch party. Recovered Futures Art Exhibition | All weekend 

Step into a world of colour, courage and creativity at King George Square’s Recovered Futures Art Exhibition, shedding a light on Queensland Mental Health Week in its inspiring 34th year. Featuring more than 300 works by 217 artists with lived experience of mental health challenges, the exhibition showcases raw and powerful painting, drawings, mixed-media creations, and sculptures. This year, you can also witness local artist, Natasha Zraikat, bring together an original creation live onstage as Artists in Residence. Beyond the art, enjoy some coffee and snacks while you participate in badge-making, colouring-in, or unwind in the outdoor relaxation zone. Here, creativity will connect us. A reminder you are not alone through the raw and emotional beauty of shared experiences.

ST.ALi Italian Film Festival | All Weekend

It’s time to say “ciao bella” to your new spring hobby because the ST. ALi Italian Film Festival is back this September — and honestly, it’s our favourite annual love affair. Presented by Palace, this cinematic escape to Italy is bringing four weeks of bellissimo box office hits and award-winning flicks to screens around Brisbane from 24 September to 22 October. Opening the festival is Paolo Genovese’s smash-hit rom-com Somebody to Love (FolleMente), starring a killer line-up of Italian talent, while the Centrepiece belongs to Oscar-winner Paolo Sorrentino’s highly anticipated La Grazia, fresh from its Venice world premiere.

HOTA Ken Done: No Rules | All Weekend

HOTA is bringing the legendary Ken Done to the Gold Coast with Ken Done: No Rules – a vibrant showcase spanning the 1980s to now. From now til February, more than 90 paintings will be on display at HOTA, Home of the Arts, on the Gold Coast. The collection showcases his iconic depictions of reefs, beaches, and coastlines, as well as rarely seen works from his private collection and exciting collaborations. Expect bold strokes, unapologetic joy, and that instantly recognisable style that has cemented Done as one of Australia’s most loved artists. From beaches to landmarks, his work captures the spirit of Australia like no one else.
