The Best Mother’s Day Events in Brisbane 2016

It’s your turn to spoil her!

By Emily Halverson & Candice Jackson | 20th April 2016

Mums are great at planning things. Your mum probably organised all the parties you’ve ever had, from your preschool ladybug birthday to that Gatsby-themed 21st.

Now it’s time for YOU to put in all the hard work and create an amazing day for Mum! But how will you ever live up to the standard she’s set with your parties? Before you let your notions of crippling insecurity settle in, check out this list of the greatest things to do in Brisbane this Mother’s Day.

You KNOW that Woolworths flowers just won’t suffice so let Mum sit back, relax and be spoilt!

Mother’s Day Classic

Since its inception, the Mother's Day Classic has grown into a major national event. You can choose to run (or walk) a 4.5km or 8km course, with all proceeds supporting breast cancer research.

In addition to the walk and run, there’ll be a number of live events, as well as delegate, celebrity and sponsor appearances. There’s also a kid zone with jumping castles, face painting, bubbles and roving entertainers! Hungry after all that exercise? Tuck into food from the coffee carts, sausage sizzle and more. When you’ve just exercised for charity, the calories don’t count. It’s the law.
