Dig into the deets

Here in the Sunshine State, winter doesn’t mean rugging up and staying home. Instead, we’re all about making the most of our lush landscapes and homegrown fare in the gorgeous locations within our city. Case and point? Roma Street Parkland’s tantalising new event: Providore Park.

Combining top drops and tasty treats with live music, masterclasses, and can’t-be-missed pop-ups, the charming Roma Street Parkland is set to become a gourmet destination for one delicious weekend on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July. With plenty to eat, see, and do, here’s your guide to what’s on at Providore Park:

The Village

Entry: Free

Follow the trail of artisan food, drinks, and treats to a food lover’s paradise, taking over Roma Street Parkland. With dozens of stalls lining the sprawling grounds, you’ll have the chance to brush shoulders with the producers as you stock up on cheese, chocolate, and antipasti, slurp down oysters, and rip into decadent pastries. Wash it all down with wine, small-batch spirits, craft beer, and alcohol-free tipples, before stocking up on pantry staples to take home – think sauces, salumi, and caviar. Open daily from 10am to 6pm, keep an eye on their website here for a full line-up of stallholders.

Main Stage

Entry: Free

Forget munching your meals to the tune of Netflix – Providore Park will see a line-up of talented acts serenading you under the sun! Local musicians and artists will be performing on the Celebration Lawn across the weekend, so bring your feed and snap up a table in the sunshine to soak it all in.

Picnic Society

Providore Park is taking your classic picnic to the next level, with a whimsical garden soiree that combines all our favourite things: bubbles, bites, and beautiful tablescapes. When you and your friends arrive at Picnic Society, you’ll be greeted with a Chandon Garden Spritz and treated to a delicious antipasto platter, alongside a bottle of sparkling Chandon Brut, Rosé, or Garden Spritz. Catering for groups of up to eight within 90 minutes of pure bliss, it’s the all-inclusive event you (and your camera) will adore.
