Here’s What You Can Expect From Surfers Paradise’s $40mil Makeover
Paradise is here
If you thought you’ve lived and loved Gold Coast’s glitter strip, think again. The iconic Surfers Paradise is getting a facelift to become a local destination you’ll want to get to know on a first name basis. Paradise Centre is the Gold Coast’s new beachfront dining and shopping precinct boasting plenty of reasons to put its address on your GPS. Revitalising the Surfers Paradise region with a healthy dose of elevated offerings, highly anticipated restaurants, and a refreshing ambience perfect for the bustling location, here’s what’s on the cards at Paradise Centre:
The $40 million makeover will welcome eight delicious new eateries to the precinct over two levels, with stunning views of the beachside to pair. A fiesta awaits at El Camino Cantina – the legendary Tex-Mex dining experience with sombreros on hand and the first ever breakfast offering in Australia. Sweet tooths will be taken care of at cult-favourite Gelato Messina’s first Gold Coast location, with 40 unique gelato flavours, bespoke cakes, and daily specials. Sushi lovers will find their fix at Hero Sushi which will host a premium Surfers Paradise special menu, while the refined Nahm Talay Thai will spice up your tastebuds amongst airy decor, and your family dinner is sorted at Enzo’s Cucina, where traditional Italian flavours are crafted to bring people together. There’s even a seaside restaurant bottling up the feeling of a salty summer vacay, La Playa – the relaxed Spanish hub with an in-house dinner DJ keeping the atmosphere buzzing once the sun goes down.
Now, you might be thinking we’ve messed up our maths; we promised you eight new restaurants and that’s only six. But, of course, we’re saving the best for last, and Paradise Centre’s upcoming two additions won’t only have locals drooling, but those outside of Queensland will want to follow their taste buds to this side of town, too.
Paradise Centre is set to host Queensland’s first ever Wahlburgers and TGI Fridays, both opening their doors in the coming weeks. The casual dining burger destination brought to life by *the* famous Wahlberg family packs each mouth-watering bite with crispy fried pickles, spicy cheese and bacon, truffles fries, and a whole lot more. Meanwhile, all-time American favourite, TGI Fridays, has already served up the goods fresh off the grill in over 60 countries, and their finger-lickin’ ribs, wings, burgers, and cocktails are sure to fit right in amongst the Surfers Paradise offering.
Paradise Centre also has a plethora of ways to work up an appetite, including exciting entertainment at the world’s largest Timezone, Zone Bowling, and Maniax Axe Throwing, as well as shopping in the newly refurbished Eastern Mall.
