A Californian-Inspired Gin Bar And Garden Arrives In Woolloongabba

Born in the purple

Follow the purple glow to a canopy of mature palm trees, and you’ll be treated to Woolloongabba’s new tipple oasis with vibes aplenty.

From the crew behind neighbourhood Italian eatery Sasso Italiano and Chinese-Peruvian bar and restaurant, Casa Chow, comes Purple Palm – a Californian-inspired gin bar and garden made for leisurely sipping the time away. Embodying the carefree Palm Springs ambience with a modern minimalist style, the 60-seat open-air sanctuary is the place to be on balmy Brisbane evenings.

Exclusively pouring Australian spirits and produce, Purple Palm is a collaboration with award-winning distillery 78 Degrees, cementing it as a must-visit locale for cocktail lovers. Featuring a 10-foot wall of gin and cocktails on tap, Purple Palm’s offering includes a bespoke Sunshine State Gin and exclusive tonic from StrangeLove.

When hunger strikes, there’s no need to lose your coveted seat, as Purple Palm’s sister and neighbouring venues – Casa Chow and the new South City Wine – will be sharing plates from their menu to be enjoyed in the plush interiors under a gazebo of lush plants. Suddenly thirsty, anyone?

Purple Palm is now open at South City Square.
