Brisbane’s bayside is home to an array of restaurants and cafes serving up the best meals in town. With fare to turn even your hangriest mate into a happy chappy, Wynnum Town Centre is a foodie oasis.

From sweet bakeries to chic wine bars, and Italian eateries that will have you saying ‘mamma mia’, we’ve picked up our forks and done the digging, so you know exactly where to dig into! Across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the pick-me-ups in between, discover some of the best places to eat in Wynnum Town Centre below:

Munja Pizza

This authentic, artisanal pizzeria is a newbie that’s already garnered a cult-like following – and it’s no wonder why! Wood-fired and oh-so delicious, Munja specialises in Napoli-style pizzas decked out in tried-and-true toppings, as well as signature favourites. In particular, their famous gyro pizza is a must try, combining the best of Greek and Italian flavours with slow-cooked lamb, feta, tzatziki, passata, and red onions.

Cedar & Pine Bar

Beneath the neon lights, this kitchen and bar is dishing out refreshing tipples and lip-smacking shared plates with a healthy dose of character on the side. Exuding all the best attributes of a neighbourhood bar, Cedar & Pine hosts a regular rotation of community events, including open mic nights, book clubs, and 2-4-1 tapas every Thursday. To keep the good times rolling, you can also check out their independent bottle shop in Wynnum, Little Cedar Store, which houses an extensive range of wines, single batch spirits and craft beers, plus handmade gourmet goods from local providores.

Banette Bayside

No one does bakeries like the French, which is why this cafe will have you drooling from the get-go! Boasting decadent pastries, loaded baguettes, and a brekky menu guaranteed to have you starting your day the right way, Banette is an artisan bakery worth visiting on the regular. Their daily cabinet selection is a Francophile’s paradise, or stay for a little longer to enjoy their signature croissant benedict alongside a delicious brew from Clandestino Coffee.

Cafe Green Bean

Hearty and healthy, Cafe Green Bean is renowned for whole food feeds and organic coffee served in a cosy nook adorned with local artwork. Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning brunch, the menu here always hits the spot – whether you opt for their homemade savoury mince on toast, stacked lasagne with chips and salad, or anything in between. Their drinks menu is equally as wholesome, with great coffees, fresh juices, and super smoothies bound to have you on your way, feeling refreshed and satisfied!

Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant

It’s always a fiesta at Pepe’s! This family-owned and operated Mexican joint and tequila bar is where you’ll find bold dishes with generous serving sizes. With the guacamole prepared tableside and the nachos slathered in house-made sauces, you can also expect tasty empanadas, burritos, tacos, and sizzling fajitas you can hear coming your way the second it leaves the kitchen. The homely restaurant also has Mexican sodas on hand, as well as a comprehensive margarita menu to quench your thirst.

Edith Street Espresso

This quaint cafe welcomes you to kick back with a fresh coffee in hand, as you soak in the relaxing ambience. Treat yourself to one of the cakes, pastries, or savoury sandwiches, and let the personable service provide a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Here, the delightful staff are always down for a friendly chat, making this a go-to for locals who love the Bear Bones brews and exceptional consistency. With an emphasis on inviting everyone to enjoy their warm atmosphere, Edith Street Espresso is even pup-friendly!
