An Iconic City Restaurant Is Opening A Sibling Venue In St Lucia

Fans of a riverside feast (aka all of us) are no stranger to Patina at Customs House – the award-winning contemporary dining spot in Brisbane’s most iconic heritage-listed building. And now their famed paddock-to-plate philosophy is making its way over to the west side!
In the tranquil setting of The University of Queensland campus, Patina at Alumni Court incorporates the heritage-listed former Radon Laboratory, with accents inspired by its inner-city sister. Boasting indoor and outdoor dining areas that flourish in the open-air atmosphere created by the surrounding Alumni Gardens, the new Patina can seat up to 90 people who are in for a flavour-filled offering that showcases the freshest seasonal produce.
On the menu, you’re looking at ora king salmon tartare with Tasmanian wasabi, South Burnett pork belly with smoked parsnip and Mooloolaba king prawn, or house-favourite espresso martini souffle to name a few. Alongside an elegant cocktail menu and renowned Rieslings, rosés, Champagnes, Patina at Alumni Court will also be serving up their famous sparkling high teas so you can raise your pinkies to a delightful time.
Students and staff will be able to brighten up their daily grind with Patina’s exquisite flavours available for takeaway Monday to Friday from 7am, fuelling busy days with Tasmanian smoked salmon brioche and maple glazed bacon brioche alongside Neighbourhood Roasters coffee. Like it’s big sister, the Alumni Court resident will play host to seasonal pop-ups, with Bombay Sapphire paving the way as the first feature, offering snacks and nibbles at the outdoor deck chairs. It’s definitely worth skipping class – we won’t tell!
