Dine On Luxe Caviar And Oysters At BNE’s Chic New French Rooftop

Salut!

By Dinushka Gunasekara | 23rd June 2021

I’ve never been to France, but I assume no one does a rooftop like a Parisian, with the Eiffel Tower serving as the backdrop of their tipples. And while the Iron Lady may not be featuring in the Brisbane skyline, the latest inner city rooftop destination will still have you feeling trés magnifique!

Sitting atop of the oh-so-chic C’est Bon Restaurant & Bar, the new Ooh La La is bringing je ne sais quoi to Woolloongabba. Open from 3pm Friday to Sunday, the intimate space is the place to be for cocktail parties under the stars in a heritage area. Trot up the stairs and be whisked away to the streets of Bordeaux!

The bar menu will have you feasting on luxury, with a selection of caviar spanning across the Siberian and Oscietra varieties, Appellation oysters, crème fraiche and roe, Fraser Island crab with mornay, and mouclade mussels.

Not in the mood for seafood? The contemporary French menu also includes standouts like angus tartare, cured yolk and tendon, duck liver parfait eclairs, and confit pig suckling terrine with rhubarb, celeriac, and dill pickles. Bon appetit!

As for bevs, you’re looking at signature cocktails like La Gazelle with rhum, passionfruit and falernum, or Saint-Germain-des-Prês with the holy trinity of gin, cucumber, and elderflower. And, of course, you’re in France, so expect a marvellous selection of local and French wines.

Ooh La La opens on Friday 2 July. Book here.
