Fish Lane’s Intimate New Martini Bar Is The Place To Be For Seacuterie And Lobster Croissants

This intimate 40-seater from the duo behind iconic seafood restaurant One Fish Two Fish turns the spotlight on two-sip martinis and classic cocktails, as well as elevated bar fare with Spanish, Italian, and Balkan influences. Located underneath Aria’s award-winning residential building, The Standard, that sits between South Brisbane’s arts and culture precinct and West End’s eclectic offerings, Midtown pays homage to small bars and social clubs from around the world.
Split into three distinctive areas, patrons are invited to pull up a seat at the 20-seat bar of spotted gum at the centre of the venue (Midtown), indulge in the compact yet cosy private dining room (Uptown), or enjoy alfresco drinks in the lush outdoor area (Downtown).
Martini fanatics can take their pick of the classics, or level up the beloved tipple with the olive leaf martini, apple and rhubarb martini, elderflower martini, and more. A succinct beer, wine, and cocktail list will complete the drinks menu, which is served alongside a raw bar, delicious small plates, and a selection of charcuterie and sea-cuterie – think dirty martini oyster shooters, Tasmanian salmon sashimi, lobster croissants, and 10-hour BBQ bourbon brisket.
Friday and Saturday nights will see Midtown turn into an electric hub of fun and flavour with a Supper Club taking over the joint between 10pm and 12am. The music will be loud, the lights will be low, and the kitchen will be open. Livin’ la vida loca!
