All that and dim sum

For a good feed that will kick all hunger out of the park, look no further than yum cha. The Cantonese traditional feast is always a crowd favourite and with Brisbane City’s latest resident, it’s taking on a fresh east-meets-west look.

Longtime Dining is bringing next level yum cha to the elite QueensPlaza shopping centre, featuring an unconventional menu of neo-Chinese flavours. With authentic craftsmanship from Cantonese chefs who have over 30 years of experience in the kitchen, time-honoured recipes meet contemporary techniques for fusion food at its finest.

Over 50 dim sum items will be available daily on the extensive yum cha menu, including classics like barbecue pork buns and shrimp dumplings, plus innovative iterations in cheeseburger spring rolls and squid ink rice noodles with edible gold leaf. The a la carte menu pays homage to Eastern roots, like in the typhoon-shelter style seafood platters featuring crispy golden crumb, wok fried garlic, dried chilli, and spices with an oh-so-right touch of piquancy.

There’s also an irresistible dessert menu, with oven-baked egg tarts and vanilla cream mango pancake. And for drinks, a rotating cocktail list to complement each dish is sure to impress, with Japanese whiskey, sake, and Chinese baijiu.

All dishes are completely guilt-free, with less salt, less oil, and no MSG. The open kitchen plan means you can see all the behind-the-scenes action from the earth-toned fit-out with a 200-seat capacity. Longtime also boasts two private VIP rooms and inner-city views to complete the luxe experience.

Longtime is set to open at the beginning of November on Level 1 of QueensPlaza.
