Gold Coast’s Kirra Beach Is Set To Get A Stunning Multi-Venue Seaside Oasis This Summer

Sun, surf, and sips

We all know Gold Coast is home to plenty of sun-drenched beaches, but there’s one particular stretch of sand and sea that holds a special place in the hearts of many – Kirra, baby! And now, in very exciting news, the iconic destination is set to get a spectacular revitalised precinct, further cementing it as the place to be.

The first stage of the highly anticipated Kirra Point Precinct has been revealed just in time for summer: Kirra Beach Hotel and Kirra Beach House. Located directly opposite the beach, the two venues will be pinnacles of southern Gold Coast, while reflecting Kirra’s rich history in Australian surf culture.

Wednesday 8 November will see the doors open to the revitalised Kirra Beach Hotel, inviting patrons to a quintessential Australian pub celebrating life by the coast seven days a week. Serving as a local icon since 1956, the pub will continue to be an anchor of Kirra Point with its friendly and no-fuss approach. Perch up in the sun-drenched beer garden, grab a bite to eat in the vibrant family-friendly bistro, or catch the game in the sports bar – either way you’ll be soaking in laid back vibes and ocean views. With comfort at the forefront of the hotel, pub-goers can roll right off the beach sandy and happy, with a tub of thongs behind the bar to welcome you in.

Sitting directly above Kirra Beach Hotel will be a magnificent take on elevated beachfront dining and drinking in Kirra Beach House. The expansive venue pairs unobstructed views of the shimmering blue horizon with stylish décor in an understated ode to coastal living, across impressive indoor and outdoor spaces. Effortlessly sophisticated, Kirra Beach House will be home to three watering holes: a wine bar, a terrace cocktail bar, and Preston’s – an intimate cocktail bar that can also be booked out for events.

Kick back with your crew in one of three 20-person beach-style cabanas on the north-facing terrace, to the tune of lounge DJs and acoustic bands. Meanwhile, the western terrace will feature a green outlook onto the Norfolk pines and cascading foliage, perfect for enjoying the Mediterranean-style grazing menu from executive chef Sebbie Kenyon (who is also the chef at Broadbeach’s Kōst). From seafood platters to woodfired pizzas, and signature burgers, the array of classic and inventive flavours can be washed down with holiday-inspired cocktails, house-made spritz, and easy-drinking Australian-wines. BRB, the sea is calling!

Kirra Beach Hotel opens Wednesday 8 November while Kirra Beach House opens mid-November.
