Get Crackin’! A Mammoth Crab Shack And Sports Bar Is Coming To King St

Don’t be crabby

By Dinushka Gunasekara | 5th May 2023

The people of Brisbane certainly know their way around seafood, and Bowen Hills’ latest addition is set to offer that and then some! Introducing Claw: a West Coast-inspired crab shack and sports bar you’d be shellfish to miss.

Slap a bib on and get your hands dirty with a menu centred around the humble crustacean and its surrounds, all made fresh to order. The quality seafood offering will be joined by tried-and-tested American crowd pleasers like Texas smoked beef brisket, Carolina pulled pork, and buffalo chicken wings, plus their legendary King Crab.

On the bar side of things, Claw will offer an extensive list of rare and sought-after craft beers, as well as premium spirits, wines, and playful slushie cocktails. Featuring an exposed keg room, arcade games, a purpose-built children’s playground, live music, and large-screen TVs with around-the-clock sporting entertainment, Claw has all the makings to be King Street’s new favourite hangout. It even has the space too, with a capacity of up to 1,000+ patrons.

The fun-loving endeavour comes from the crew behind Soko Rooftop, Lina Rooftop, and more of your favourite dining and nightlife locales – Potentia Solutions Leisure. Taking over the old Welcome To Bowen Hills space, Claw will even feature its own mascot, Calvin, who you’ll be able to find in the coming months leaving gifts, golden tickets, and more across Brisbane.

Claw is set to open in August at 631 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills.
