Leave your passport at home, because South Bank has scored a trés magnifique taste of France that even your flakiest friend is sure to get around!

C’est du Gateau – translating to ‘it’s a piece of cake’ – is Brisbane’s latest authentic patisserie and bakery, housing mouth-watering goodness you’d expect to find on the streets of Paris. From decadent brioche to delicate mille-feuille, and of course, delicious croissants, there’s plenty to tickle your fancy here. C’est du Gateau will also have the savoury lovers spoiled for choice, with the likes of a 12-hour slow-cooked BBQ pulled pork and caramelised onion croissant, or  the Reuben croissant that features layers of pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, dijon and seeded mustard, and cornichon enclosed in croissant dough.

With more than 15 years of experience working with renowned chefs and in the kitchens of high-end patisseries and hotels across France and Europe, you can trust you’re in good hands with C’est du Gateau’s two owners and talented French pastry chefs, Seb and Fred. Peek at the magic through the glass window featured in the elegant black and white facade, before enjoying the crème de la crème of French fare.

C’est du Gateau is now open at 182 Grey Street, South Brisbane.
