A Vibrant Mexican Eatery With The Largest Nacho Plate In Oz Is Now Open In West End

Let’s taco ‘bout it

By Isabella Pesch | 12th June 2023

When GC locals feel a hankering for modern Mexican bites and margs, chances are California Tacos is at the top of their list. But now, you don’t need to venture down the M1 to experience the energetic Baja-inspired joint, because California Tacos has finally made its Brisbane debut in West End.

Come hungry, because they don’t muck around here, serving up Australia’s largest plate of nachos weighing almost 1kg with your choice of beef, chicken, pork, or cactus for the vegos. The macho nachos is joined by loaded tacos, burritos, and Cali plates, as well as cheeky margs (plus loads of other drinks for those who can’t look tequila in the eye anymore). Feeling daring? Any of their tap drinks can be transformed into a Tijuana Tower measuring 2L or 3L!

What’s a Mexican restaurant without Taco Tuesday? Pop in for a weekday wind-down with $6 tacos and $8 tap schooners, as you soak in the neon lights, vibrant decor, and Cacti all around to deliver those laid-back Cali vibes. Pull up a seat in the Margarita Garden on the back deck and let the bold flavours work their magic!

California Tacos is now open at 120 Boundary Street, West End.
