Whether you stayed back at work or you’re craving a bite after a movie, you don’t need to resort to a fast-food feed. You can enjoy fine dining anytime with these late-night restaurants.
KWAN BROTHERS | Fortitude Valley
Inspired by Asian street food, Kwan Brothers offers tapas-style dishes that are perfect for sharing with a group of friends over a few catch-up drinks, right up until 11pm. The house specialty (Pork Bao Bao Yippie Yo Yippie Yay) consists of two pork belly bao sliders with red dragon sauce. Delicious!
THE MANHATTAN LINE | South Bank
In a New York state of mind? Head over to The Manhattan Line for a bite of the Big Apple until midnight every night. Hot dogs with every kind of topping you could ever want will fill you up, or you can indulge in an Alabama Burger with sweet and succulent buttermilk chicken, bacon, American cheese and spicy slaw. After something a little smaller? Split a serve of buffalo chicken wings or a plate of jalapeno poppers.
BAO DOWN NOW | Teneriffe
You’ll be bowing down to the food gods at Bao Down Now. Inspired by Asian street food and with a venue akin to a nightclub, it’s the perfect place to refuel late at night so you can continue to party into the wee hours. Teapot cocktails will get the party started or keep it going, and with a vast rage of bao sliders there is something for everyone’s taste.
SONNY’S HOUSE OF BLUES | Brisbane
Dive in to this dive bar in the CBD with live music, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday meal specials and a menu that caters for after-work drinks and nibbles or a more substantial meal. Smoked chicken quesadillas or haloumi, eggplant and tzatziki burgers are just two of the tasty morsels you can munch on late into the evening.
VERVE CAFÉ | Brisbane
For an Italian feast until midnight, look no further than Verve Café. Delicious starters and a wide range of pizzas, pastas and risottos will satiate any rumbling tummy. Located in the Metro Arts building, you’ll feel as though you are miles away in this funky basement bistro.

Gastro pubs are having a moment as the place to mingle and munch. Known for its great food, drinks and service, Hop & Pickle features a sizable range of share plates and nibbles, with specials daily. There are plenty of choices if you’re after something more substantial and they even do a traditional Sunday roast. Plus, they’re open until 11pm or midnight all week long!
