8 Brisbane Bars With A View That Are Seriously Insta-Worthy!

How's the serenity?

When it comes to drinks with a view, there are a few Brisbane establishments that are a cut above the rest. From the rooftop bars where a bottle of champers goes down a treat to the riverside spots where all we want to do is sip mimosas, these are our picks for some of Brisbane's best bars with a view.

Mary Mae's | New Farm

Situated right on the river, this is about as close as it gets to riverbank dining! Whether you’re starting the day with a breakfast mimosa or settling in for their Sunset Sessions, Mary Mae's Brisbane is easily one of Brisbane’s most stunning destinations. Fringed by the iconic New Farm Park, it’s the perfect spot to live life large with $99 magnums, $1 oysters, shared plates and cocktail jugs or simply chill with live music in the company of your furry friend – everyone is invited! Their bar menu offerings mean that you can order plenty of treats, such as grilled watermelon & king prawn salad, sliders and loaded sweet potato fries. Want the perfect pic for the ’gram? Grab a waterside seat and sunset!

Bar Pacino | CBD

While the drinks list at this CBD favourite is well worth checking out, it's their primo vantage of the Story Bridge and Brisbane River that have us returning again and again. Seriously, the ambience is incredible. Plus if you get a lil peckish, their dining menu (which includes cheese platters, pork belly, pizzas and more) is the perfect way to indulge.

Seriously,  OTTO is easily one of Brisbane's most Insta-worthy bars. From the bright colours to the signature fans that look like a flamenco dancers skirt (you have to see them to understand), there are so many beautiful details to catch your eye. That is, if you manage to tear yourself away from that incredible view of the Story Bridge. Add to the mix their contemporary Italian menu and you have a feast for the eyes and the stomach!

Sandstone Point Hotel | Sandstone Point

With 300 metres of unobstructed water-frontage, it's no surprise that  Standstone Point Hotel is one of Brisbane's most popular destinations for everything from weddings to drinks with a view. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Moreton Bay region, this super lush bar is the perfect place to bend the elbow when the weather is clear. Whether you nab a table or choose to lounge on a picnic mat, Sandstone Point Hotel is nothing less than picturesque.

Eagle's Nest | Kangaroo Point

Situated a dizzyingly-high 12 floors up, Eagle's Nest is where those who aren't afraid of heights go to watch the sunset. Offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Brisbane City skyline, The Point Hotel rooftop bar is a southside favourite. Sip on ice-cold champers, cocktails or imported beer, indulge in some of their snacks and relax at one of Brisbane's primo locales.

Heading south?

Rick Shores | Burleigh Heads

Okay, okay, we know. While not technically a Brisbane bar, this Burleigh Heads hotspot is so damn good that it's worth the drive down the coast. Situated as close to the shoreline as you can get without actually taking a dive, this Gold Coast bar is known for serving up a killer selection of cocktails, seriously drool-worthy eats, and one of the best bar views in the Sunshine State. As devote Brisbaneites, we wish we could claim Rick Shores as our own!

Brisbane gal through and through, Siobhan is an avid cider-enthusiast and a keen believer in brunch (house deposit be damned). When she's not at the beach, she can be spotted lusting after makeup she can't afford, re-watching The Office (the US version, obviously) or annoying her friends with her insane astrology theories (she's an Aquarius, FYI).
