Stopping short of ordering a side of steamed greens or garden salad as your main dish every time you go out, being the only vego or vegan among a bunch of omnivore friends can be very challenging. The next time it’s your turn to pick the lunch venue, lead them in the direction of one of these vegetarian-friendly restaurants and you’ll all walk away winners. I know it can be a challenge to find somewhere to eat when you are vegetarian or vegan, so we have compiled a list of some of the best vego eateries in town.
1. Govinda’s Restaurant
Located in West End and Brisbane City, Govinda’s is a vegetarian restaurant serving up Hare Krishna Indian food. All menu items are easy on the palate and easy on the wallet, with vegan and gluten free options available.

This takeaway only venue in Red Hill offers gourmet vego salads available in small, medium and family sizes that are truly Pinterest-worthy. An inviting selection of homemade treats are also available for those with a sweet tooth.
