Crack A Cold One Open At Wilston’s New Brewpub Inside A WWII Hanger

In the air tonight

Fancy a drink on the fly? Then Wilston’s new brewpub is the perfect place to land.

Inside an old WWII hanger you’ll find Archer Brewing – an expansive venue pouring exclusively Australian flavours made by locals, for locals. Producing their own beers since 2017, the crew behind Archer have a combined 30+ years in the industry which they’ll channel into their own venue.

Enter through the large double doors and you’ll be greeted by a portrait of the owners’ border collie, Archer, overlooking patrons sipping on easy-drinking beers using only homegrown produce. The bar itself is made from the last ever Ansett 727 plane to be flown, meaning a seat here will really have you soaring on cloud nine.

The 200-seater venue (which also welcomes furry friends) will offer a core range on tap, as well as an apple cider made from 100% Stanthorpe apples, a few rotating guest taps, and wine, spirit, and cocktail offerings that also hail from Australian wineries and distilleries. As for food, Archer Brewing will host a rotating series of food trucks, serving up street-side snacks while also supporting local industry suppliers and farmers. Delish!

Archer Brewing is now open at 1/278 Newmarket Road, Wilston.
