The Highly Acclaimed Shane Delia Is Opening His First BNE Restaurant

West End story

As the Brisbane dining scene continues to grow from strength to strength, it’s clear the rest of the country wants a piece of the pie. Lucky for us, our next interstate import is an iconic chef and restaurateur who’s making his mark on our humble River City with bold flavours and rich spices.

The Melbourne-based Shane Delia of Delia Group (Maha, Maha North, Maha East, Jayda) is set to open his first Brisbane restaurant early this year in a move that will combine the very best of culture and cuisine within West End’s Thomas Dixon Centre. In partnership with Queensland Ballet’s hospitality partner, VenuesLive, Delia will be transforming Brisbane’s state-of-the-art performing arts precinct with his signature touch.

While details of Delia’s first restaurant outside of Victoria are still tight-lipped, patrons can expect an unrestricted spice journey across an evolving menu that complements Queensland Ballet’s artistic excellence. The celebrity chef will also be revitalising the Thomas Dixon Centre’s events and activation spaces to cement its place as the home of Brisbane’s vibrant arts and culture scene.
