A spritz on the riverfront is a match made in heaven at the best of times, but Brisbane’s newest Italian eatery is certainly pouring it up a notch!
The bubbly Ovello Bar & Kitchen officially opens its doors this Thursday below Mantra South Bank, serving up a moreish coastal Italian menu alongside Australia’s largest spritz menu – featuring an extravagant tipple that goes for a casual $299.
Made for those seeking a chic yet casual dining experience, diners can munch on easy bites like fresh calamari fritti, burrata, and stone-baked fresh pizza made with a 37-year-old mother dough. However Ovello is truly a watering hole through and through, boasting more than 14 variations of spritzes, including Ovello’s signature lychee spritz made with pink gin, sparkling rosé, lychee fruit, and topped with edible pink glitter and flowers.
Those scanning the menu will of course notice Ovello’s pièce de résistance, named The Duchess – Australia’s most expensive spritz. The decadent beverage is made with rose liquor, Dom Pérignon Champagne, and topped with authentic locally made Turkish delight glazed in a gold lustre and served in a special glass for you to take home. Now, that’s worth the splurge!
Your little ones will also have plenty to cheers to, with child-friendly mini mocktails like the Snakes and Ladders or Apple-a-Day spritz. Fun and fabulous? Ah, Ovello, you’re coming for our heart!
Ovello Bar & Kitchen is opens at 161 Grey Street on 9 February. Book here.
