There’s a lot about Vietnamese food that makes it so incredibly appealing, from the freshness of the salads and soups to the French influences in dishes like Banh mi. Tuck into these restaurants to satisfy any Vietnamese cravings you may have. If not, you’ll surely develop one by the end!
Mints, Rosalie
The restaurant is always brimming with energy, the staff are efficient and the food is inexpensive and authentic. Mints is BYO, meaning you can pop next door to the bottle shop and pick up a bottle of vino to wash down their tasty dishes. Takeaway meal sizes are generous and quick. Parking can be difficult in the Rosalie Mews complex, but the restaurant provides patrons with car park permits. Must try: Vermicelli noodle salad bowl with pork. So fresh and filling!

The Vietnamese has a rich history in Brisbane and has been on Wickham Street since 1985. The Le family source most of their ingredients locally and some ingredients are even farmed from their own crops. Food is inexpensive but as authentic as they come, with some Chinese influences. Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant is packed with customers. Must Try: Crispy Duck in Mushroom sauce.

Libertine the Barracks
The first thing you’ll notice when visiting Libertine at the Barracks in Paddington is the stunning design and décor. The building is heritage listed and pays homage to the history of Petrie Terrace with a French colonial twist. The cuisine has a French and Vietnamese theme and the drinks list is extensive. Must try: Obvious favourite is Canard crepes (duck crepes) while the desserts also hold their own.
