Matcha Mania: Here’s Where To Find The Best Matcha In Brisbane

Coffee who?

By Montana Hayes | 27th March 2024

Seeing little takeaway cups of green liquid around Brissy lately? That would have to be matcha, the It drink sweeping across the city. Plenty of cafes have jumped on this green tea bandwagon, serving up matcha in all sorts of creative ways (yep, we’re looking at you strawberry matcha). Both trendy and IG worthy, it takes something insanely good to tear away a coffee from the hands of Brisbanites but let’s just say, this is the coffee replacement we’re more than okay with.

So, matcha lovers, we’ve rounded up the best spots to get your matcha fix in the city. Brisbane and matcha – it’s a matcha made in heaven, you could say.

By the way, we consider everyone in this list the best of the best! To make finding your next favourite that much easier, we’ve ordered the list alphabetically by suburb and also have filtering tabs for your convenience. Did we miss someone from the list? Let us know here!

A - Z

Little Florence Coffee

Kudos to you, Little Florence! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Teneriffe, you’ll find some seriously good matcha. The flavour is spot on, earthly with just the right touch of sweetness and the best part, their strawberry matcha is amazing. So, get the girls together for a hot girl walk along the river and sip on some green goodness. Trust me when I say it’s worth every sip.

Matcha Therapy Co

Not technically in Brisbane, but we’ve seen it all over the ‘gram so we couldn’t resist to include it. Brand-spankin’ new to the GC, Matcha Therapy Co. is a nail salon and matcha cafe in one and is the perfect spot to slow your morning down, treat yourself and sip on their delectable matcha. FYI, they serve up the viral strawberry matcha too!

Kusuka Corner

Southersiders, this one’s for you! Just a short trip from the city to the heart of Sunnybank, you’ll find some of Brisbane’s best food and drinks at Kusuka Corner. Their Tira Miss U x Berry Matcha is to die for, creamy with a pink latte base. A trip to the southside for this one should be in the books for this week. Highly recommend!
