The New Beauty Products You Need To Know About

From luxe makeup to high-performing skincare, here’s everything to know.

By Guest Styler | 12th March 2019

Us Australians once lived in a rather segregated area of the beauty community. We are no strangers to waiting longer than six months for the latest product launch, but thanks to advancements in technology, we can now have all the newest beauty bits in our hot little hands almost as soon as our U.S. friends.

With new products and brands coming in hot and fast, it can be hard to keep up. To help you navigate your way through the shiny March newness, we’ve put together a guide on the beauty news worth knowing about!

Westman Atelier

We have had our eyes on this ultra-luxe and clean makeup brand for quite some time, so we couldn’t be more excited that it has finally landed onto Australian stores! Founded by celebrity makeup artist, Gucci Westman, Westman Atelier products focus on enhancing your features with lightweight and creamy products. Not only is this brand high-performing and long-lasting, but it is also free of silicones, parabens, synthetic fragrances, gluten, talc, PEGs and phthalates!

Laura Mercier

While the complexion-driven beauty brand, Laura Mercier has been doing the rounds since the 90’s, the brand has recently undergone a major makeover and has just re-launched in Australia. Laura Mercier is considered to be the Queen of the “flawless face” in the beauty community, so it’s no surprise that her foundations, tinted moisturizer and setting powders are cult-favourites.

Summer Fridays

Started up by two successful bloggers, the Insta-famous skincare brand, Summer Fridays was created after the founders struggled to find products that gave both instant and long-term results. Focusing solely on creating masks, the brand aims to help tired, stressed skin feel revived and hydrated again. The Jet Lag Mask is Summer Fridays’ most iconic product, and for a good reason – after just 10 minutes, your skin is left feeling plump, bright and hydrated. You could say we are a little obsessed.

Dr Roebuck’s

With product names like ‘Tassie’, ‘No Worries’, ‘Noosa’ and ‘Bondi’, Dr Roebuck’s is quintessentially Australian. Powered by plenty of soothing and nourishing ingredients (think: aloe vera, rosehip oil, hyaluronic acid and blueberry extract), this brand will leave your complexion feeling balanced and happy. If you are someone who enjoys playing with products and feeling them on your skin before purchasing, you’ll be pleased to know that Dr Roebuck’s is no longer just sold online – it’s now available in Sephora store too!

Sunday Riley

‘But we have been able to access Sunday Riley for ages now!’ We hear you say. While that may be so, Sunday Riley has had a big makeover and, in Australia, we have finally received a few exciting additions to Sunday’s product line-up! We now have access to the highly anticipated U.F.O Oil (a blessing for oily, acne-prone skin), C.E.O Rapid Flash Brightening Serum and Antioxidant Protect + Repair Moisturiser, just to name a few. We can hear our bank accounts crying already.
