The Female Edit Festival Is Celebrating IWD With Your Favourite Wellness, Fashion & Beauty Brands

WHO RUN THE WORLD?

By Ava Barker | 5th March 2026

Grab the girls and spend a morning celebrating yourselves on International Women’s Day this Sunday, because Joey’s Kangaroo Point is hosting The Female Edit Festival, a curated riverfront celebration of women in business.

Perfectly timed for those taking part in the Mater Women’s Day Fun Run, The Female Edit Festival doubles as the ultimate post-finish line reward for getting those steps in (go on, you’ve earned it) or simply an excuse to start your day in style.

Running from 6 AM through to mid-morning, this free, one-day-only event brings together a hand-picked lineup of some of Brisbane’s most-loved, female-led, and female-owned brands.

Expect a host of beauty, fashion, wellness, and lifestyle pop-ups offering exclusive, festival-only perks. Think protein smoothies to refuel post-run, morning mat sessions courtesy of Vicalates, and free permanent bracelets – all soundtracked by female DJs spinning on the decks. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s on offer.

Wellness

Get ready to fire up your core and activate those glutes with Vicalates, Brisbane’s very own Pilates queen. For those skipping the Fun Run but still keen to get a sweat in, what better way to do it than with a sunrise mat session on the riverfront?

Vicalates will be hosting three complimentary 30-minute mini mat Pilates classes at 6:30 AM, 7 AM, and 7:30 AM, so wriggle into your Lycra and start your morning mindfully. And once you’ve got those endorphins flowing, reward yourself with a visit to the fresh flower pop-up courtesy of Avalon Florals – nothing says self-love quite like leaving with a bouquet in hand.

Fashion

On the fashion and accessories front, Sal Resort – the Noosa-based label beloved by beach babes everywhere – will be hosting a styling pop-up shop, alongside Props, with a curated edit of their innovative phone cases to browse on the day.

Rebellious Grace is also offering soldered permanent bracelets and jewellery, Moony Ink is offering micro femme tattoos, and Dr Diamond will be on hand with complimentary jewellery cleaning to keep your signature pieces sparkling. Talk about pampering!

Refreshments

As for the refreshments, Bulimba-based patisserie Darvella will be serving up their cult-favourite cinnamon scrolls, while Kailo Nutrition pours the protein smoothies (served alongside indulgent Medi Spa moments).

Lola’s Coffee Bar is also bringing the goods with its signature ube and pandan matcha creations, and Cinca Tequila – founded by Aussie surfing champion Stephanie Gilmore – will be shaking up cocktails to keep the sunrise celebrations flowing.

Beauty

For those in need of a little post-run polish, Bella Brows will be hosting an express brow bar to keep those arches looking sharp. And if your locks are feeling less than fresh after the Fun Run, Blow Dry House has your tresses covered, offering express sporty hairstyles to take you from sweaty to sleek in no time.
