The city’s favourite festive activity is making a dazzling return with The Enchanted Garden, transforming Roma Street Parkland into a twinkling, fairytale playground from 21 November to 20 December. Whether you’re planning a family outing, a couple’s date night, or just want to really get into the Christmas spirit, this one’s for you.
This year, The Enchanted Garden isn’t just glowing – it’s telling a story. Meet Willow and Marigold, the mischievous guardians of the garden, as they guide you through An Enchanted Eve, a playful and immersive narrative that brings the park to life in ways you’ve never seen before. From glowing fairy lights to bobbing orbs and spellbinding projections, every corner of the one-kilometre trail is packed with interactive surprises.
The trail is self-guided, wheelchair-accessible, and takes roughly 45 minutes – but trust us, you’ll want to linger. Pop a few selfies, marvel at the projections, or just soak up the glow – no one’s rushing you here.
Food, drinks, and festive vibes
All that marvelling will work up an appetite. Celebration Lawn is hosting food trucks and a pop-up bar, serving everything from festive treats to tipples, so you can nibble and sip while taking in the glittering garden. And the best part? Entry to the food and drink area is free, so even if you’re on a budget, you can join the festive fun.
Ticketing
Affordable, accessible, and fun – The Enchanted Garden is perfect for everyone. Tickets start at just $7.50 for kids (3 to 12 years) and $9.50 for adults, with free entry for children under two. There are also group packages for families wanting to make a night of it.
Sessions run every 15 minutes, with Early, Standard, Up Late, and Low Sensory options, so you can pick a time that suits your festive plans.
