Brisbane’s New Riverside Music Festival Is Here & Grace Jones Is Leading The Lineup

ONSTAGE ICONS

By Cali Westmoreland | 3rd March 2026

From 25 February to 22 March, the Cultural Forecourt at South Bank is transforming into On the Banks, a riverside concert series that combines all the best music festival theatrics with the European summer energy you’ve been craving.

Presented by QPAC and South Bank Corporation, this is Brisbane doing outdoor live music with polish; food, bars, friends, and a program that moves from surf-rock to art-pop, and everything in between. Think iconic names such as Grace Jones, Peach PRC, Sarah Blasko, and so many more.

So, let’s get into the must-see acts playing in On The Banks’ iconic lineup.

Grace Jones – 5 March

Model-turned-disco queen and our forever style deity, Jones has spent five decades redefining what performance, gender, glamour, and power can look like. From Studio 54 to Paris runways to stadium stages, she’s never lived a dull moment, nor has she played by anyone’s rules but her own.
Expect her classics: Pull Up to the Bumper, Slave to the Rhythm, Walking in the Rain, and many more. And hearing them live? Pure voltage. At 77, she commands the stage fiercely. Her vocals are deep and hypnotic, her presence is imperial, and her style is art.

If there’s one night you must attend, this is it. Don’t miss out on this iconic performance.

The Streets – 6 March

A perennial voice of sharp-tongued lyricism and urban poetry, The Streets arrive at On The Banks with the kind of style you can’t fake. Mike Skinner’s genre-blurring catalogue – part garage confessional, part indie revival – feels as vital now as ever. Expect a set pulsing with nostalgia and storytelling, equal parts dancefloor and diary. Supported by Double J, this is a headline moment primed to ignite the riverfront crowd.

Bernard Fanning & Friends – 15 March

Bernard Fanning headlines a lush Sunday lineup featuring Kasey Chambers, The Paper Kites, Troy & Jem Cassar-Delay, and Georgia Mooney. Talk about Australian music royalty! Be prepared, as this set will feel larger than life and loud in all the right ways.

Peach PRC with Maude Latour, Salty – 19 March

The wonderfully unfiltered Peach PRC brings her pop universe to the river’s edge. With Maude Latour’s kaleidoscopic charm and Salty’s cool energy rounding out the lineup, the night promises a true performance. Backed by Triple J, this is pop maximalism with heart – bold, bratty, and impossible not to sing along to.

Marlon Williams with Sarah Blasko – 22 March

Closing night feels poetic. Marlon Williams’ velvet voice paired with Sarah Blasko’s luminous songwriting is the kind of lineup that demands your attention.

The three-time ARIA Award winner, Sarah Blasko, with platinum records and a career built on emotional presence, brings depth and a little bit of late-night reflection. Be prepared for her latest album, I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain, to see how she is just as expansive as she is prolific.

What makes On the Banks different is the setting: skyline views, riverside air, food and bars woven into the experience… It’s set to be a celebration of global sounds and icons. See you stage-side!
