Noosa’s Art Scene Is Throwing Open Its Doors With A Free, 10-Day Art Trail

By Bianca Licina | 1st September 2025

Pack your tote bag, clear some space in your camera roll, and get ready to unlock a side of Noosa you’ve never seen before. From 10–19 October 2025, the Sunshine Coast’s creative heart is cracking open its doors for the 10th annual Noosa Open Studios – Queensland’s largest open studios art trail.

If you’ve ever wanted to peek behind the curtain (or rather, easel) and see how artists actually create their magic, this is your golden ticket. Over 10 days, artists from the coastline to the hinterland will fling open their studio doors, letting you wander through their private spaces, watch their process, and maybe even snag a one-of-a-kind piece for your walls. Think painters, ceramicists, mixed media masters, and artisans of every kind – all against that only-in-Noosa backdrop of beaches, winding backroads, and lush hinterland.

Last year, 93 artists and artisans joined the trail, making it Queensland’s biggest event of its kind, and 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger (and bolder – it’s the 10th birthday after all). The best part? It’s totally free. Yep, you can gallery-hop your way around Noosa without spending a cent – unless, of course, you fall in love with a piece you just have to take home.

Noosa Open Studios isn’t just about art on walls – it’s about discovering the stories, spaces, and creative souls who make this region such a vibrant hub for imagination. It’s as much about the road trip as it is the art trail – winding drives through hidden hinterland pockets, stumbling across tucked-away studios you’d never otherwise find, and meeting the people who pour their hearts into every brushstroke, clay form, or sculptural curve.

So, art lovers, road trippers, and curious souls – Noosa Open Studios 2025 is calling. The only question is: which artist’s door will you walk through first?
