James St Up Late Returns For A Night Of Shopping And After-Dark Fun

SHOP 'TIL YOU DROP

By Cali Westmoreland | 24th February 2026

Clear your schedule and text the group chat. Our favourite – and most fashionable – precinct-wide party is back (and dripping in gold this time). James St Up Late returns on 19 March 2026, taking over the street in a wash of golden light, late-night shopping and of course, all of the very best decisions that get made after dark.

Consider this your official invitation to lean into a little midweek mischief; fabulous fashion encouraged, sensible plans discouraged. And to our delight, we can expect the usual festivities. Think polished shopfronts, champagne on pour, and over 70 of James St’s finest trading late with discounts, prizes, pop-ups, and gilded glamour energy you can feel street-side.

The shopping perks

For one night only, over 70 of the precinct’s most coveted names are trading past our bedtimes, and turning the street into a glossy circuit of indulgence. Expect the works: exclusive offers, limited-edition treats, prizes worth dressing up for, and dinners that you should rally the group for.

A little preview of where we’ll be paying visits to:

  • A recent James St addition, Alpha60, is providing us with a cheeky 20% off storewide.

  • Camargue is serving fashion with a side of fun, hosting in-store bingo with prizes to sweeten the deal.

  • Gerard’s welcomes cult hair authority St Louis Says for a pop-up complete with complimentary pours and product spoils.

  • The fabulous new wine bar, Fountainhead Winehouse, is stepping into Mud Australia for refined ceramics paired with equally refined wine tastings.

  • Penelope Bistro & Bar is redefining girl dinner for the night. Think tiny martinis, truffle fries, and classic Caesars. Can it get any better?

  • Venroy is elevating your next getaway with a Travel Essentials bag giveaway, plus a gift with every entry (consider it jet-set manifesting).

The party bags

In case you needed any more convincing to attend, the carpark between Harveys and CAMILLA will be undergoing its very own glow-up. Enter: the Up Late Quad. A hub of gifts, goodies, and high-value temptation.

This is where you’ll locate the coveted 2026 James St Up Late Party Bags, each worth over $600, and filled with all of our faves (Go-To Skincare, Ultra Violette, Ssaint, Messina, Silk Laundry, K18, and much more). Not only are they the ultimate party souvenir, but one in every 20 bags contains an extra-special prize. We love odds like that.

And because stamina is everything at James St Up Late, Allpress Atelier will be serving complimentary affogatos to keep the shopping levels high.

The golden ticket

No proper soirée is complete without a little friendly competition. Thankfully, this one doesn’t require any party tricks, just your email, your Instagram handle, and a touch of luck.

What’s up for grabs? Think shopping sprees, styling sessions, custom outfits, hair makeovers, original artworks, long lunches, and hotel stays. To us, it sounds like less of a raffle and more of a retail fantasy.

A night dripping in gold

Consider this your formal – and slightly insistent – invitation. James St Up Late 2026 lands for one night only, and if history tells us anything, we’re sure that it will be the social event of the season.

So, gather the group chat, dust off something dreamy to wear, and lean into the gold theme, because when James St throws a party, we Brisbanites show up.
